I'm sure some Derby fans were given banning orders for homophobic comments at the Amex one year.

Saying that though, out of all the midland clubs i have always found Derby fans decent.

Two of our recent visits have seen Solly March being booed and abused for 'timewasting' whilst being carried off (and out of the game for 9 months), Connor Goldson racially abused whilst sat in the stands, and Leo Ulloa jostled and mocked by fans on the pitch, when trying to applaud our travelling fans.

Triffic bunch.

But do they kick off over the last remaining steak and kidney(with outback sauce) pie?

I was referring more to do with interacting with Derby fans. You can walk into any pub without hassle. Always found them a good bunch.

Don't forget our fans mocked Murray when he done his cruciate at Palace. We are no angels ourselves.

Also i love Pride park. It's a superb stadium :clap2:

Those concerned that a lifetime ban is too long should consider that it's not set in stone.

Well done Derby, all you have done is set yet another ridiculous benchmark that other football clubs and organisations will be pressured or forced because of your actions into following.

Yes the words were disgusting and should not have been put out there, and yes he should be punished. For a LIFETIME !!!! That is madness.

You don't get life for murder, so how can they justify it.

Its another example of the nanny state we live in, and another case of look at us, we are all goody two shoes how we have dealt with this.

What a complete joke. Pathetic.

This Country is soft enough as it is.

He's being banned from ever watching his football club again not being locked up for life.It would give him something to think about if his picture was put up around the city so people can see what a vile piece of sh*t he is. Yes, he may have been drunk as has been suggested when he posted but, as others have pointed out, words have consequences.Let him back in after 10 years if he can still hold his head up in Derby. C**t!

A few chanted, until they realised it was a serious injury and not a dive for a free kick. I was there.
Derby fans booed Solly whilst he was being carried off on a stretcher, over five minutes later. Calde was booed for changing his shirt with blood on it, at the sidelines (so not timewasting) from a stray Derby elbow.

Seems punishment does not fit the crime but probably for the greater good by making an example of. Trouble is Twitter is awash with morons, the clues in the name. Another will be along shortly...

Anybody's wife, girlfriend, sister or other relative on here that has lost a child through a miscarriage or a serious illness will feel enraged by that 'human' taunting Billy Sharp and will feel the punishment is justified. However some people on social media just crave the attention and don't know where to draw the line. I think there should have been a different way of dealing with him. What that is I'm not sure. A very heavy fine and an education course on early life bereavement perhaps?

It must take a horrible sod to tweet something like that.

Yes but something made the horrible sod take a cold turn of heart in response to life, and worse - think that offering nasty vicious thoughts was a kind of rewarding behaviour which was likely to win him friendship, love and esteem. For those reasons he ought to be pitied, in the end.

F me, absurd thing to post on so many levels, and if nothing else it's saving the tw@t wasting years watching that pile of overpaid, underperforming wankers that constitute Derby County's squad. If anything he should have been forced to go to Derby games home and away for the rest of his natural life.

This only deprives the low-life of watching 'his club'. The "murderers get less" type remark is silly, comparing prison to a club ban.

The troll will still have his liberty and can watch all football away from Derby.

Nothing to do with a Nanny State. A private club/business has decided it doesn't want the patronage any more of a punter who stooped so low.

We sat with young Albion teenagers in the home Derby game in May 2016, very close to the Derby fans, in the SE corner. They were the only available tickets.

All were shocked at the hatred towards Brighton fans, by pissed Derby blokes age say 50 to 55. Openly homophobic and they tried to get across the material to a 75 year old Brighton fan who told them to shut up. Even their own wives were appalled, trying to get them to pipe down. The pissheads next target was to kick up a fuss big time to get the 75 year old guy kicked out of our section.

They were my favourite East Midlands club until those events.

A lifetime ban is not without appeal. There is nothing to stop him from, sending a heartfelt apology to the Sharps. Writing a public letter of apology and making a donation to a relevant charity, all of which might demonstrate he has truly reflected on what he has done.

F*ck Jordan Byrne. Any apology will not be heartfelt, but will be a reaction to being held up to public scrutiny as a result of being tracked down. He won't mean a word of it.

Deserves The Mother Of All Jamie'ing in addition to his lifetime ban. Worthless piece of trash.

As an aside, I presume if any Derby players are involved in any similar, or more serious, misdemeanours they will also be dealt with similarly.
