Craig Levien was a bit of a **** though. No?

Something like

" He plays for Brighton, so no one who plays up front with him understands how he plays"

Yeah. I'm sure

I thought he looked quality tonight. Brilliant leading the line, great run and finish for the goal. Hope he doesn't play against Spain though as it will be futile waste of his energy.

Playing a quality team such as Spain will improve him as a player, which can only be good for us.:D:albion2::albion2::albion2::albion2::albion2::albion2::albion2::albion2::albion2::albion2::albion2::albion2::albion2::albion2::D

In a pile of football shirts
Mackail-Smith just told the interviewer he was pleased to score and happy that "the boys" created lots of chances, and said that "hopefully" they could score a few in their next game.

That's their next game against Spain

Also chuckling at the Scottish analysts (Craig Gordon, Pat Nevin and some presenter I don't know) answering the question "is Craig Mackail-Smith good enough for this level" with a knowingly smug "of course he is". Come off it, chaps, most of your first XI play in the MTL, therefore CMS is by definition not just "good enough" but probably several levels above them already...

But there were only 2 MTL players in the starting line up (keeper and Naismith) with 3 Rangers and one Celtic player on the bench. The rest of the starting line up were EPL players, CMS was in very high faluting company despite the quality of the overall performance.

The player that I took note of was Thomas Beck. Another left-sided player that could be good enough for Crawley?

The standard was so poor that I only looked in patches,. Better than watching England though.

PS: The Spanish right back did not look up to much against the Czechs.

He meant none of the Scotland players know how he plays. Obviously. ???
Though there's a few in there that have played against him though.

Ah, you see I missed that, such is the attention I pay to the MTL. My bad. Hang on <checks lineups> What about Caldwell, isn't he a McPlayer?

According to the Guardian site, McMackail-Smith is the first ever double-barrelled Scottish international. Which is some kind of honour I guess (if you don't count Chris Whatthefuckwasthat-Iwelumo).

Can't remember, there's about thirteen Caldwells in the Scotland setup isn't there? :jester:

I don't know which Caldwell it is. If it's the Wigan one, he's rubbersh.

I was going to say. Scotland have a lot of quality players.

Deffo Wigan Edna.

You'd think a team full of EPL players, CMS, and only 2 MTL'ers would be capable of putting the plumbers and decorators eleven somewhat more to the sword than just 1-0.

While we're on the subject of MTL football, I recommend you watch this clip, for some magnificently biased commentating from the Stenhousemuir man on the mike (aaaah, noooooooooooo, wouldyae believe it!) some utterly shocking football, some quite endearing misses from close range, and an unexpectedly skilful overhead kick goal from the hapless (ie previously useless) Warriors centre forward (about 3:50).

Maybe it's about time Greer took his place!

Six weeks ago I'd have said yes, on the balance of the Leicester, Ipswich and other game since then, perhaps he needs a bit of time. Even though he is LUSH
