Brighton are closing in on the signing of Derby striker Liam Dickinson, skysports.com understands.
Dickinson looks set to leave Derby this summer with the player well down the pecking order at Pride Park and the club looking to trim their squad.
Norwich have had two bids rejected for 23-year-old, but now Brighton have entered the race and are close to agreeing a fee with Derby for the former Stockport hit-man.
Dickinson's agent, Phil Sproson, has confirmed Brighton are in talks with Derby and a deal could be done in the near future.
"There is a strong interest from Brighton in Liam and talks are ongoing," Sproson told skysports.com.
"The two clubs are trying to agree a fee and I don't think they are too far apart.
"Liam wants to be playing regular first-team football and he knows his chances at Derby will be limited so he is hoping a deal can be agreed with Brighton."
