...is quite simply, the best holding midfielder I have ever seen play for the Albion. Anticipation, good in the tackle, can pick a pass. The bloke was a class above everyone on the pitch today.

As much as it pains me to say it I wouldn't blame him leaving if a PL club come in for him because he could comfortably perform at that level.

Totally agree. How would we replace him if he went. Must be worth several million. He goes for anything less and we are weakening the team considerably and unable to replace him. Most consistent player I have seen in an Albion shirt for years AND we only signed him by a fluke.:)

I think you nailed it with the word consistent...hope we can hang on to him because the way the wages/transfer budget is going ( if you believe Gus :lolol:) then we have no hope of securing a replacement..........

He was pure quality today - as he has been all season.

1.. If he leaves I would make an effort to sign Jara Retes from WBA.
2. It wasnt a fluke as Gus knew of him and followed his movements after Chelsea.

He really is an absolute gem, isn't he? Such an intelligent head on young shoulders - it's his tactical awareness and reading of the game that sets him apart. He is just fits our team like a glove, being bought up in that Makelele 'base of a 3-man midfield' role - if we were to lose him I honestly don't know how we'd replace him. Doesn't bear thinking about.

Completely agree. Get him on a long term contract. He should be the highest paid player at the club. Get rid of Vicente and give Liam his wages. If Nicky Maynard is worth £4million then Bridcutt is worth 10million. Simply unreplacable

I couldnt believe we only gave him a 2 year contract, very short sighted and we should be looking to improve his terms ASAP!

Bridcutt deffo deserved MOM, had a great game.

Had a good game, especially 2nd half when he was superb, but for me Al Abd was man of the match, along with Dunky, they didnt give Wood or Maynard a look in.
Bit worried when Liam went around all the stands clapping at the end.............was he doing it cos Macca was of the pitch, or was ita sign that he may be on his way, f***ing hope not.
