Metro and Mail running with it. Love they now name the source, the Sun, so if its crap it's dished on them.

I reckon its crap, they've even said amount White has been offered and allegedly turned down is 25k/pw, and that Potter will assess him first in pre season before deciding whether to offer him up to 50k PW.

Where the hell does he get that from?, to think Potter, Bloom or White has told him that is laughable.

Made up rubbish imho

The Metro has the worst record of all.

So The Sun are reporting that Chelsea are 'hovering' for Ben White as well.

Think their journos need to talk to each other a bit more.

The Dunk transfer is a really hard one.

I'd have to respect his wishes and wouldn't hold a grudge.

But how are we supposed to replace him? Especially in the air.

We've definitely got options and I guess you never know what a person can do when the pressure is on and they are given responsibilities they haven't before.

Ben White appears to have smashed every challenge put in front of him. And, quite frankly, I think he needs a challenge.
I think Potter said "he'll have to fight for his place in the team" because Potter understands psychology.
White was thrown into the dragon's den at Leeds. He had to fill the void left by the popular Pontus Jansson.
I think he thrives under pressure. And Potter knows that.
He's shorter than Dunk though.

EDIT: If we kept Dunk it would be fantastic.

One way of looking at it is that White has done as well as Dunk did at second level. And we all saw how Dunk made the step up.

Still, I don't want to lose Dunk. Sooner lose Webster or Burn. But that won't happen.

Lewis Dunk to Chelsea ...............

I think Dunk is a done deal, have done for a while. I hate to say it.

Too many things aligning, the complete lack of our best player and captain in all the shop promos, us buying up more CBs, Lallana as a potential captain.. and the biggest factor: Chelsea are in dire need of a vastly solid experienced top flight CB with PL experience.

He would be a great signing for them.

And if that’s not all enough, he’s a Chelsea fan, and this is his last chance of a big move.

No disrespect to Ryan but Henderson is a fantastic keeper, this would be an upgrade.

If this happens there are a few of us here who will be owed apologies.

A few of us called out issues with Matty Ryan’s performances this season and were utterly pilloried for daring to suggest we could improve the GK position.

Ole Solskjaer has made it clear he wants him as their next number one.

Are you going to apologise every time he plays a good game then?

Or we just scrap the apologise bullshit and just accept that if you have controversial opinions some people are going to say "no, you are wrong".

I do too, sadly. I think the deal was drafted in January and both clubs are now just discussing the optimum time to announce it.

It would not surprise me if there is some sort of buy-out clause in Dunk’s latest annual contract related to the club he supports to allow this to happen.

Anyway, I’m sure we have replacement material in Veltman, White or Clarke.

Our attacking and goal scoring options now need investment using this Dunk money. My expectations of a new striker and perhaps winger/AM will go up if we’re cashing in on our best player. I think the club will deliver on this, I really do.

I'd invest in a left wing back.

I'd pay a good amount of money for another Lamptey.

Added to this list he absolutely deserves the chance to earn more than a Championship runners up medal, not saying we won't be ever be in the mix for silverware but this is potentially quite a few years down the track.

I don't think anyone would think that no player in the current Brighton team is irreplaceable, but the key word is "improvement", is Henderson an improvement...
