Lewis Dunk abusing fans?

Yeah I saw it too, though too far away to see what was said.

I thought it was your basic, 'F Off'! But not clever and to be honest it was not after he received a groan from the whole Amex after his second lapse in Judgement it was when he had to make a back pass by the East family and shouted something at the fans. I certainly didn't hear any single person shout anything, it was more like a show of frustration against everyone having a go. I don't think it was directed at an individual, but I remember thinking how classless it was from Dunk.

Dunk's little altercation with our fans was on the halfway line in front of the East. Not quite family stand is it.

Personally I don't blame him having a go. Some fans need to know that if you want to dish it out to players, or anyone for that matter, then you should be prepared to take it as well.

I particularly liked the response of Stockdale to Dunk's slip up. He picked him straight up off the floor - literally and also emotionally too by basically telling him to get his head up and not worry about it. He could easily have thrown his toys out of the pram and had a go, but thankfully we've got better team spirit than that this season.

Lots of fans get brave and mouthy when they are up in the stands behind the stewards. I'm sure many of you would get pissed off if some danny dyer was repeatly calling you a c*nt throughtout the game.

I was right in front of it. I do remember him turning around to look at the crowd right after they sarcastically clapped him. This was after he successfully passed back to the keeper a few minutes after the goal.

I couldn't hear what he said, but he DEFINITELY said something.

Not that I know if Dunk actually said anything un-family friendly but, for what it's worth, it was the family stand. I sit 2 feet away from it.

Dunk had just made 2 colossal errors of which one caused a goal. Then had a back pass 2mins later and did a good job on it with an Ipswich player on him, but he felt the need to have a go at the east after some clapped and cheered, I think it was at the groan and moans from the whole Amex to the second mistake and Dunk seemed to take it badly. You have to question his temperament when you add up all the incidents, mistakes and concentration lapses. I think Dunk is a top top player, he can be our Captain and a superb player, but he does have these moments and today he had a couple and reacted badly. Let himself and us down.

He made two very bad mistakes, one of which cost us the match. He also made a tackle which should definitely have been a penalty. Not good enough for what we aspire to. At the moment, he is a liability given he cost us the match at QPR and also recently gave a penalty away at Burnley.

exactly this, wish fans like that would not bother going. I had the bloke behind me doing the "move it forward" shout outs again. Then he goes quiet when when go long ball and win nothing from it. I really dont get what goes through some fans heads, how does any negativity towards our own players help?

Abuse? Cheering coz the bloke managed a back pass isn't exactly abuse is it. I get the feeling that if Dunk had done it to the North (I was in the NE corner and there were plenty of jeers there), the reaction from others would be different.

Lets not forget the start of the season and last year, Dunk was class. Yes hes made some bad mistakes but he is not all of a sudden a crap player

Where does this verbal abuse crap come from? The whole Amex lambasted him for the second errors and then the East and other area's (north) had a few jeers when he managed a back pass. He shouldn't have reacted. Simple. I want you and others to know that in my opinion, a vast majority of fans did NOT have a go a Dunk and clapped him. It was an outburst and wrong. I think Dunk is a great defender but I don't care how good you are, if you have a go at our fans you are out of order and can 'fuc£ off'

how does any negativity towards our own players help?

I agree. You must understand fans' frustration though when his lack of concentration is causing problems for us nearly every match now. Yet because of our injury situation he still has to play.
