Number 6 is Ian Simpemba, formerly at Wycombe.

How the lino never gave that 'goal' though I will never know, must have been two yards over at least.

Its probably not over at the point that photo was taken, but the defender is still not about to clear the ball, so it would have travelled a good yard further before the actual clearance. It was a shocking decision, one that could have changed the whole season had it not been for the late winner.

Not at all. The ball was moving. There is no way that the defender can reach it (which was what happened next), before it fully crossed the line.

After he reached it, he hoofed it into the goalkeeper's chest. It then bounced back to cross the line for a second time and the goalkeeper fell on it, pulling it back on to the field of play.

Even the Bishops Stortford players admitted after the game that it went at least two feet over the line.

The best view of the goal that never was is from Steve Kings dugout.
He can see all offside decisions and bad refereeing decision from there as well.
As regarding this incident Lord Bracknall are you saying that this is the only "was it over the line " incident this year in Conference South?

Most pathetic moment - Bishop Stortford fans, who, in the first half had an array of highly amusing chants on the home terrace, were sulking beyond redemption in the second half.

'Shit ground, shit fans, shit club, shit beer (after they'd been singing how they loved the beer), shit town, shit kit, shit pitch, you're all shit.' 'Yes', I pointed out 'and they've just beaten you. So how shit are you? And you've got to go back to Essex. Byeeee.'

I expect they thought you were barking mad as Bishops Stortford is in Hertfordshire.

Bishops Stortford is in Hertfordshire but on the outer edges it is quite possible for the bottom of your garden to be in Essex. Of this I know.

They announced yesterday that our senior cup game against them will be played on the 5th of March at Bognor’s ground.

There was quite a Chess theme there yesterday, with the Rooks playing Bishops Stortford. Lewes' manager is Steve King. There were several Brighton fans there (bunch of Queens), probably a couple of whom like internet pawn (sorry, this is getting tenuous now), and the Lewesians probably ended up having a good Knight out.

Alright, alright, I'll get me COAT.
