I like to watch friendlies as I do believe as well as match sharpness, you get a feel for style and tactics.

That was dire!

COG hopeless, Colunga decidedly average, Maneapa handled well and dominant, Ince ok, but passing poor. Our 2 CBs looked promising, but the creativity even with Tilley is lacking.

Monakana looked dangerous in the second half.

Just got back.

Pile of ****.

I've tried to give O'Grady the benefit of the doubt for a long time but he's just genuinely crap.
Colunga had a rubbish game also, he must have had no more than 3 touches.

Rosenoir was very good.
Ince was very good in the first half but pretty dire in the second.
Tilley pretty good.
Chicksen ok.
No one else did anything worth typing about.

Is this the point where we say that the pre season friendlies don't mean anything? Anyone?

They don't although I'm not sure not having enough players of the required quality is anything but a major worry. We are dragging our feet again having been told we were working on doing business early this year. Still the club have their 20 k season tickets so all's well.

Did you guys who are having a moan about today go to a different game to CH, he has expressed himself quite pleased except he would have liked a goal.

I was stood on the side terrace. During the first half Calde was calling BHA players by their shirt numbers because he had know idea who they were!
And to think I missed fish'o'rama to see this.
Definitely gonna miss the Sevilla game.

This is the weakest squad since the days of Butch Wilkins and the youngsters

And worryingly, there is little indication that the club are doing anything about it...as yet.

Not figuring today at Lewes were:
Stockdale
Bruno, Dunk, Greer, Bong
Lua Lua, Stephens, Croft, JFC, March
Baldock, Hemed

No need to panic

I always say that regardless of the result.

Exactly, there were probably only two first tram regulars playing today (Ince, Rosenior) the rest were all back ups or U21's. Wait till the Crawley game before making a snap judgement

This is pretty much how I saw it too, although I was impressed with Tilley. He either laid the ball off first touch, or carried the ball some distance. He was about the only bright spark in the first half, and Monakana took it to them in the second half. COG was simply awful.

When you say dragging their feet, what do you mean? How easy do you really think it is to get quality players to sign? Do you think we are top of any quality players list of clubs to come to? I would think that most players have time on their hands to wait for the right offer even if that takes all summer. Quality players will have options, so what can the club do when these players and agents, play the waiting game.

Come on Sir, what can the club really expect when all it has to work with is:-

The very best training facility in the country.
The very best stadium in the division.
The 6th (?) highest player budget.
The 3rd (?) largest average attendance.
The highest amount of season ticket holders (for the hard of thinking that's guaranteed income)

People expect miracles from a club that's situated a stones from London and even closer to world wide transport.

I defy anyone to attract a player who can kick a ball to a club that ONLY has that going for it.
