I know I shouldn't but I did chuckle....

I was on a bus right near this. After a short delay, our bus was allowed through as there was nowhere else for it to go.

The upside was that I was able to arrive home a couple of pints later than usual but with a plausible excuse!

You were lucky, I went to collect my takeaway at 19:30 and there was no traffic moving. All vehicles were being turned around at Morrisons and told to take an alternative route home. I ended up going up Elm Grove, along Tenatry down and then down Coombe Rd. Not too bad for me but a bugger for those that rely on public transport.
