Lewes- Lansdown pub message.....

I called into this pub yesterday and had a chat with the landlady re today...She is expecting a bumper day and asked me to pass on this message to anyone planning a visit...

Homemade real ale pie and mash will be on the menu!

Went in there before the Eastbourne game. It was so rammed and only 2 staff, I have given it a miss since, and will continue to do so I expect.

There wax actually only 1 staff member. Seemed to be a couple now running it but they were with young child so had to alternate at the bar and looking after the little one.

When it got really busy a customer started serving too, to help out!

I think that they now know that it will be busy and will have plenty of staff on... For the Eastbourne game they probably didn't realise how busy it would be tbh

It's not a pub that's on my usual radar tbh.... I'm not sure that they do much in the way of food generally but said they would try the pie n mash to see how it goes... There are plenty of pubs elsewhere in Lewes that have a good choice of food including The Royal Oak just up the hill a few yards!
