Lewes FC men’s team were due to play Aveley away in Essex tonight at 7.45pm.

The club announced that the game is cancelled due to the M25 Dartford crossing protest, a decision made by the Isthmian League.

Ah the fact it's to do with the Dartford protest makes far more sense. I thought someone was protesting Lewes specifically, which seems rather niche as a target

I think a boat across the Thames would have been quicker. Aveley is right off the Lakeside A13/M25 junction. Reckon no one is getting in or out of that town.

As will those travelling for medical appointments, to visit sick relatives, emergency vehicles, health & care workers travelling for their shifts and others.

I imagine there are solutions for emergencies though. As for others - well, tough luck but they'll be even worse off if the planet becomes uninhabitable.
