I'd rather keep Caicedo than Ally Mac for the simple reason that Caicedo will be harder to replace. There's no obvious understudy in the squad, whereas we have several number tens, and both Gross and Gilmour could play as defensive midfield players alongside Moises. Europe might just swing it for us, although if Arsenal come back in and can offer Champions League ....
Pedro looks more of a ten to me than a striker, Macalister is better in a deeper role IMO. We purred much better when Lallana was playing the ten role.

Just have a sneaky feeling Caicedo will surprise most of us and stay one more season.

Better to be the mainstay in a team in Europe and playing every week, than move to a club as badly run as Chelsea. I would keep him unless he throws a complete paddy.
I’m guessing Moises will also have only a very small pool of clubs that can afford his transfer fee . When you are spending £85-90m on one player you have a lot of choice and big clubs may want to see another season from him . I know Arsenal were obviously interested but they appear to have stopped at £70m .

That won’t get a transfer done for him .

We know how this works. It's not just an offer that is sent off. We speak to them properly. Surely that means this 'not for sale' is more for the media than the reality.

Feel this will be last roll of the dice to get him. If Chelsea do not play ball then we move on

How does he know this, does he know some old folk from The Mirror ?

A few questions here. If this is the case, and Chelsea have no intention, then it's Caicedo and Arsenal in reverse.

spot on. that’s not to say they will sell him, but if it was a blanket ‘not for sale’ then we probably wouldn’t be still talking to them.

With the important exception that we have an even more valuable player that Chelsea want to buy. We should have considerable leverage.

I reckon you use the term ‘folk’ in 50% of your posts. Not a criticism, just an observation. I read them in my head with a Yorkshire accent in fact 🤣

I can’t see us going above this offer but at least we can say to RDZ we have given it a proper go. It’s an interesting one for chelsea as if they block it they have to actually play the lad or he will be running down that contract of his and move for peanuts next summer.

I really can’t stand this puppet. Some of what he writes is true or some truth, some complete bollocks puppeted from agents. It’s the ‘fan base’ and media attention he gets that irks me a bit. He’s just very unlikeable and cocksure.

They need sales before the end of this month. Mount and Havertz are attracting attention but perhaps Chelsea need £100m+ in sales ASAP to balance things. I think the club might smell blood here. Chelsea might simply have to sell to avoid punishment.

He gets his info from agents. They use him to publicise their players.
