"I would like to work with him for another two, three or four years.
"It's difficult to find another left centre back with his quality.
"He's a good guy and is improving a lot.
"I hope he can stay with us."

Make of that what you will. End of RDZ's presser today, after being asked about Colwill by JC.

Reports in BBC today that Colwill could be a makeshift for Ali Mac. I don’t read too much into that as I seem to recall Chelsea saying they wanted to keep him and, whilst I accept Ali Mac will go, most likely either this summer or next (hoping the latter), I pray he doesn’t go to Chelsea. He’s too good and too nice to be screwed up and wasted by them.

Mac to Chelsea, we get Colwill and cash (£40m?). I like the sound of that.

It’s probably one of the only ways they can avoid FFP sanctions.

However, Mac is far too good (personality and soul) for that cesspit of a football club. I hope he goes elsewhere if his inevitable transfer transpires.

That story makes no sense given their FFP predicament

If Chelsea want to avoid spending then how about Gallacher and Colwill. Yes we would need to put Gallacher through a 'deep clean' process but when we played them up there he was their best player.
Add Cucu and we have a deal 😂

There is a suggestion that they actually need to sell academy players to balance the books for FFP accounting. With no transfer fee to amortise, every sale is marked as pure profit. I think Gallagher will likely go. Not sure on Colwill.

Yep , there’s a fair few going into the last year of their deals they’ll look to offload at £20M-£30M each, Colwill relatively long contract but they are looking to get him to sign a new one

If they want Mac then we insist on Colwill...

I think they will be hell bent on keeping him.

With all the hate coming from their fans already towards the owner if he let such a promising young defender go they'd lose their collective minds.

Keeping Colwill will earn them some brownie points is they way they'd ultimately think.

Shhh, he’s rubbish and Chelsea should accept a £10m bid from us.
Their balance sheet would look a lot healthier if they could get rid of some of the £80m or so they paid to us last year. By letting us have Colwill, they could wipe at least £25m off that debt. That might enable them to sign a few more players.

Please tell me others noticed he was pushing up to an ATTACKING MIDFIELD role at goal kicks and when the keeper had it - may have been man marking Oddguard or someone but it was bizarre. Never seen anything like it before. He was out of shot on the TV at times cos he was still coming back…! It seemed to work well though tbh.
