Not much in it, but I couldn't give a shit at the moment to be honest until these England players start performing like they do for their clubs.

And they will now be under more and more pressure because of the disappointment and disillusionment, which will require some mentally very tough players to rise above that and drag us out of it.

I would liken it to when Man Utd hadn't won the league for so long, it got to 18, 19, 20 years, the pressure was huge and many players at Old Trafford cracked until after 26 they finally found a team with some backbone who weren't paralysed by the fear of losing.

You wonder if this current England team of losers are capable of it, certainly not without a major injection of those untainted by failure. Agbonlahor, Milner, Ashley Young need some friendlies very soon, because we may need them in this next qualifying campaign.

Would depend on what we were playing for. If it was for a spare place in Euro 2008 then Scotland, if it was for a £100million payout to be split between the winning players then England.

If we were playing the Golden Generation managed by McClown, I'd be very confident.

If England get a serious manager, get a decent keeper (a very tall order from the current crop of complete duds) and start playing like a team rather than trying to accommodate self-styled superstars, it would be far more difficult.

I still think we can give anyone a game and I would have absolutely no fear about taking on England at the moment, given the gulf in class between the current England and France/Italy.

If we have Lippi or Capello as manager soon, then hopefully everyone starts with a clean slate.

I would bring Shearer and Zola as attacking coaches
mabbutt/ Pearce - Gentile ( italian) as defence coaches
Shilton/Zoff as goalkeeping coach
Platt/ Brady as midfield coaches

In other words, look at the way American Football does it with specialists in their area.

Then we would not need to discuss playing scotland or home nations as we will be a world force again
