That's what Mickey said after the game today, by all accounts we were once again unlucky. So why can't we follow the managers lead and stay positive?

Some of the bile and drivel I've read on here is shocking. I would understand why Mickey and some of the players would walk away from the club having read some of it but they'll stay and fight for it and it's time for some of the whingers on here to do the same.

Surely to stay positive, you have to BE positive in the first place!

Would be positive if there was a something to be positive about, so far this season the defence has been a shadow of last season, midfield has been none existent, our quality forward line is not going well and the signings haven't come off. Not much to be positive about really

It seems from your post, that you didn,t actually go to the game today.

If you did, you would surely understand the despair of many fans.

Like many, I have differing opinions on team selection etc etc .....and usually some thoughts on how to put it right, using the present squad.

However.........today, I came away wondering where on earth Micky Adams....or any othher manager for that matter could start to put things right.

Just about everything was wrong today.

The players seemed to lack motivation, cohesion, ability, understanding and any awareness whatsoever of what they were actually meant to do.

No, I wasn't there today, family commitments dictated otherwise but I was 100% behind Mickey and the boys before the whistle and at the final whistle which is more than what can be said of most of our so called supporters.

So would you prefer most of our "so called" supporters to be 100% behind Micky and the boys away from the Withdean..........? I would imagine there is at least 20,000 ex-supporters doing that already.......is that not enough.........?

I'll tell you why.

We started the game in the relegation zone, having for some reason, sacked a manager who got us to 7th in the league last year. So, with some new additions to the squad, and a new manager, it really was shock of the century that we were doing so poorly.

Colchester were piss poor. Infact, they were as bad as us. At 1-1, they were there for the taking, and to be fair to us we went for it in the first ten minute of the second half. But after that we sat back, Adams didn't change anything and they sensed they could get a result from us. They brought on three substitutes, we didn't bring on one until the last 5 minutes. One of their substitutes scored the winner.

Adams clearly hasn't got a clue. I find it very hard to 'stay positive' about a manager who seems to be taking us down, and into a game in two days which could effectively leave us 5 points from safety.

I am in general a positive and patient person but it didn't take me long this season to come to the conclusion that Adams has lost all of his motivational ability and has no tactical awareness. There is nothing there, nothing to build on he can't improve, he has to go and I hope he has the decency to make the move himself. If he stays a catastrophic relegation is an inevitability.

Extraordinary comment. What exactly would they " walk away " to ? A plumbing appreniteship, maybe some odd jobs or a job at Asda. There are hardly going to be any queue to sign these players or for Adams to get another club.

Are the encouraging performances at Shrewsbury, Tranmere and today at home to ever improving Colchester not enough??

A lucky penalty shoot out win against a league 2 team (and only one shot on target), yes we played well at tranmere, but you could allways see them scoring, and as for today being "encouraging", We were outplayed in the second half, and never looked like winning the game!

So, to answer your question, no it isnt enough.

Adams out!
