23 points and 8th in the championship. I'll take that for now.

Current results reminds me of 81-82 when we finished 13th in the top flight but we had to endure some dismal home draws and the style of McCrab. The supporters voted with their feet.

I did not mind it much, but the spectators understandable got impatient and stayed away and crowds fell to under 19,000 in the recession and this was below the wage bill. I did not vote with my feet until Barry Lloyd joined because I did not like the % game.

The strikers then were Andy Ritchie and Mike Robinson. This was more like the Barnes and Murray pairing than Barnes and Macca.

We have softened up the resolve of Peterborough (like Leicester) for their next game against Palace. Who designed the fixtures?

No, but I'm not blinded enough by gus's halo to just go 'yeah we won at last, we are playing great football"

You may be pretty, but let's be honest, you are pretty thick aren't you? A lot of decent Championship sides will have been frustrated by tonight's results. If you can't take it (not winning every game every week) I suggest you support a top 4 prem side (or follow their results).

Anyway you managed to start a fishing thread. Well done. Maybe you have'nt a footballing IQ over 100 but at least you will flush out the usual trolls.

You may not, but there are plenty who do want to be entertained not just constantly frustrated because we could be doing so much better.

Anyway we have a nice ground, nice pies and Harvey's so what does it matter eh!

The second half was incredibly entertaining, if also frustrating.

Exactly. We didn't get the goals we deserved but we were well on top on the second half and we played some great football.

How many were left in the stadium to see the winner tonight?

Actually, they're paid to play football - whether or not it is entertaining is a) irrelevant and b) entirely subjective.

You pay your money to watch them play football - it could be a storming game, it could be a shower of crap; you don't know until it happens.

I really couldn't give a toss if it wasn't entertaining if we were getting results. If it's also entertaining then it's a bonus.

People will find anything to whinge about, won't they?

You're not Mike Bailey are you?:lolol::lolol:

I heard some people saying they have never been less satisfied with a win,I asked them if they went to Forest last season and they looked at me all funny.
I quite enjoyed the 2nd half last night and compared to Forest we were fantastic.

This.

Poor bastard, he demands the world on a silver platter, and ends up with... himself. No wonder he's frustrated.

I thought it was very very poor and papered over the cracks. I hope the 3 points get us going but we started really slowly again.
I'm not enjoying going to the games at the moment, sorry that's the truth. Leeds was exciting, but apart from that there hasn't
been a lot to shout about. (Sheff W and Barnsley were both poor teams).

The arse end of Hangleton
Well if you rose tinted, glasses wearing, butt kissers think that our home performances are entertaining, I pity your wives and girlfriends after your 10 second moments of passion, because let's face the performances are shit.

We pay our money to be entertained not so strung out with frustration we need blood pressure tablets. Lord Poyet may be a good manager but he is PAID to do his job, we PAY to be entertained not frustrated week in week out. Don't get me wrong I'm not expecting European glory, just something to keep fans interested before the JclS leave the stadium half empty next season.

And on a final note, next time we get a corner just give it to their keeper and save fooooking time!

You signed on to here in Feb 2004 - surely you've seen far less entertaining and less skilful performances from an Albion side than last nights match ? Try some perspective !

I don't get to all the matches but I pay to have a good time not to necessarily be entertained.

I pay to get that feeling excitement as I wait for the bus, the anticipation as the bus draws into the stadium, the slightly nervous energy as I eat my pie and drink my pint, the feeling of pride I get as GOSBTS is played and the players run out, the skill and frustrations of the match and then the feeling when I finally get off the bus on the way home that I can't wait until I can next do it all over again. A football match is an EXPERIENCE not an entertainment and those of us that can only afford to go occasionally probably appreciate it far more than moaning old gits like you !

Differences of opinion are meet with the usual insults

We won great, but that doesn't mean that it was a great performance (again) it wasn't. We started like slugs and needed the obvious half time kick up the arse to get going. We have a great stadium, a great chairman, have come a long way and most importantly for most on here have nice pies  etc but that doesn't make me blind to the teams faults.

Yes - started slowly, improved throughout, serious excitement as we approached 90 minutes and a thrilling climax just after. The current girlf was immensely satisfied and the football earlier in the evening wasn't bad either.

Quite. The moaning gits on here are like spoilt children - always wanting what they can't have and for whom nothing is ever good enough.

We played more good football in the first ten minutes last night than in many entire seasons during the last twenty years. I drank perfect pints of Harveys and ate delicious pies before taking my seat in our magnificent stadium.

Yes, it is terrible being a Brighton fan.

Poyet Out.

To be honest i was entertained at the leeds game and we only came away with a point. Much more happier with the 3 points tonight however we got them

Spot on. all this 'entertainment' shit i've never understood. It stinks of not being much of a fan. A win is a win - Leeds was v entertaining - for the NEUTRAL especially? Give me last night and 3 points over the Leeds game any day!

On the whole, Amex home games have been 10 times more entertaining than Withdean ones, excluding our 3 title winning seasons.
