..... maintain an element of caution, yes keep this wave of optimism going, revel in the standard of the signings todate, dream perhaps of what MAY be possible next season,.... but..... never forget that teams like Leicester for example, bought ( or tried to buy) just about every player of significant ability and experience last year before the season started, but ended up flattering to deceive didnt they?

Yes, we have the Gus and the Amex factors, but lets adopt a sense of perspective, there are also a lot of other decent clubs who are also well equipped and managed...... its going to be massive.
So what is the earliest we can win the title.

December or January?

Think Tony has his gambling goggles on in the hope of promotion and the millions this will bring but totally trust his cards to win the pot.

I certainly wasn't under the impression he had that much dosh!!!

It's the only area corrected to the club where I DO genuinely have a "source". He has a LOT more than people would think.

It will be a very exciting season and i can't wait!!!

Although I think it is important not to turn on the team if they don't live up to our increasing expectations.

We have ansolutely no evidence of any substantial wealth. I am not saying he isn't wealthy - just that no evidence supports this - unless you are prepared to name some.

I'm not prepared to out my source, no. Someone who knows Tony on a business level. He is COMFORTABLY a billionaire.

I was neither wanting or expecting a named source. I was hoping for something like - Tony owns building X or business Y or has a 50% stake in this venture capital company. We know he owns Blue Lizard and bits of property in Brighton but this amounts to tens of millions at best.

I want to believe that Tony is a billionaire and the way the money for the Amex appeared at short notice would indicate this but I have never seen or heard any physical evidence of this sort of wealth.

Why is this important? Some would say it isn't. Others would say that in the light of Portsmouth, Palace, Rangers et al, fans have a duty to query where the money is coming from if large amounts are spent on players and stadiums. Tony owns the club but the club belongs to the fans. Ask any Rangers fan.

Agree with the OP, bristling with excitement in what has been the most radical change over 3 years the club has ever seen, watching a dire 0-0 away to Leicester under Micky Adams Pt 2, with shit free transfers to this....... its breathtaking.

BUT........ whilst TB is a legend and I know he loves the Albion, I just hope he is not following others like Leeds, Pompey and West Ham that are gambling with players/wages to reach the promised land. There are a lot of very very good players arriving with more to come, who aint cheap and whilst brimming with excitement about the team we will put out, can't help feeling slightly concerned with the level of debt the club is carrying and increasing wage bill.

I want to see the best team that we can actually afford, i hope this is it and can only trust TB's shrewd judgment, but sustainability and affordability must never be lost.
How on earth anyone could be worried about debts etc is hilarious,do you really think bloom would do such a thing?
Unlike many stupid clubs we're well within our budget and the income we get is far better than most clubs in this league,we don't pay players 20k a week + unlike many in this league, even burnley pay 15k a week to certain players.

If anything we are a fair bit below our budget at he moment and we have loads of players on low wages.Just be grateful and enjoy what mr bloom is doing to our club.

Worried my arse as we're well within our means:clap2:

He's would,ve spent 150 odd million by the time he's finished,so anyone who has that to splash out must be bloody wealthy.

If he wasn't super wealthy he wouldn't be abled to get 150 million off a bank etc,it's his personal wealth so he has to be bloody wealthy.

What bank would lend bloom 150 million unless he had amazing assets?like i said it's his own money so no worries.
