100% Correct Doug. But in such numbers?
I don't know how old you are but when I was a kid I was brought up to believe it to be wrong, as this was then the view of society. I know we have moved on from the dark ages when men and women went to prison for this. And as the Church today still will not accept it, I cannot understand people banging on here calling people Nazi's because they also do not agree with homosexuality, why not call them Christians instead of Nazi's?

I'm 56, I believe in tolerance and respect. If the majority of people were gay then the straight ones would be called perverts. If people prefer the love of their own sex then so be it.

Your post makes no sense.

Sticking your cock up another mans arse is a 'character trait'???!?!? It is an illness mate plain and simple and it should not be championed with an annual event.

Funnily enough, I don't think you'll find anyone reputable in the medical profession who claim its an "illness". Nor is it in ICD-10, meaning its not something you can be 'diagnosed' with. Sorry to break the bad news...

Always nice to see the right wingers on here rattling on about homosexuals. They seem to forget that some of the more vocal right wingers in history have not been averse to having one slung up the marmite tunnel. Brand and Roehm, Ulrichs and Hirschfield? Even Himmler may have been homosexual - he was certainly very pally with Roehm. Of course Martin Webster in the current day was rumoured to be intimate with one-eyed Griffin of the ubermensch party. Who can forget Nicky Crane and Peter Marriner?

Even in my NF/BM days, some of the more vocal supremacists seemed to want to do little more than get drunk and then get naked in a room full of sweaty blokes!

Just as well your dad was not a rear gunner and your mum a lezzer, if they where you would not be posting on this thread.

OH WELL THAT'S ME BANNED.

If your dad was illigitimate and your mum was a whore, you'd be a Palace fan.

Again I agree Doug about the respect and tolerance, but they are the minority in this town and I feel that they should show some respect to the majority and take their fight to all parts of the country. In my opinion they are losing the respect their previous parades have gained in this city.

Point taken, as I don't live there perhaps I should keep out of it.

Word.

You can no more be 'diagnosed' with gayness, than cowardice, greed, or perversion.

So stop trying to call it an illness, Herman.

Interesting comparisons there NMH. You could've used bravery, generosity or sexual as alternatives, but hey: you don't want to let them mincers completely off the hook do ya? People might start to get the wrong idea about you, God forbid ;)

Having confronted the N/F party jobbies when they were just in their infancy, I can quite believe they were likely homosexual.

Tindall just sat there behind them twiddling his chubby thumbs, while his skinhead followers went into a cold sweat of confusion when faced down by an equal number. "er....well, maybe you want to join us" was their amazing backdown!

At least people like us have a choice whether we want to attend or not Doug, The people I feel sorry for are the people who live in the area or people who's circumstances mean they have to be in the area. They've got no choice it's forced upon them whether they agree with it or not.

The problem with folks like Algie, HBB etc is that they have no basic understanding of their own lives so they cannot be expected to understand anyone else's.

Steady on there BB - you'll be feeling sorry for the Falmer residents next! :lolol:

I think HB&B and his chums can take comfort in the fact that their hostility to Pride will confirm to the gay community that there is still a NEED for the event to be held in Brighton. Well done.

But what do I know? I'm only a descendant of immigrants.

Why not spread their cause to say Portsmouth, Southampton, Eastbourne, Worthing and Ringmer or have they no people there that do not understand homosexuality?

It's just a day.One day out of a whole year. It must be a horrible existence getting yourself wound up with such hatred.

I think pride is great fun. Unfortunately I couldn't make it down to see the parade yesterday as I was working, but we had an excellent night in St James' Street last night. Not a hint of any trouble, everybody having a good time and beering it up into the wee small hours.

I'd actually love to St James' Street pedestriansised on a permanent basis.
