They'd be amazing signings for Arsenal. 4 or 5 seasons of peak football left in them, they'd transform that team.
People are gong on about them being limited as possession based defenders, but I guarantee most arsenal fans would be delighted to have them at their club.

Perry Groves has told TalkSPORT that he believes Arsenal should look to sign AFC Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser, and Brighton centre-backs Shane Duffy and Lewis Dunk...

...“They are better than what Arsenal have. They have fight, they have character, they have heart. They need that sort of player.”

Groves is right. However, Arsenal’s main priority should be centre-backs and both Duffy and Dunk would be excellent additions to the Gunners. Fraser is less needed, given that Arsenal are still strong in attack.

It remains to be seen how much Dunk and Duffy would cost any interested parties,

Shirley when Pele comes a asking you don't say no.

I'm sure when I was listening that it was said that Arsenal's entire budget for next season is £45 million as a result of failing to qualify for next seasons champions league.

Groves then said that Arsenal should spend that money on Frazer Dunk and Duffy

Simon Jordan then said that Dunk is £50 million alone!

That Jordan does talk sense on the radio, I'm warming to him

Agreed....i thought 45m isn’t going to buy much quality........the positive feeling towards Jordan is getting quite frightening isn’t it :D

£60m and we would sell Dunk
But would expect Duffy less likely to fit into the new style of play and could be the one to go

No-one knows what their budget is. Except they that have a sustainable model.

If I was a chairman of a top six club I would baulk at the idea of spending £50m to obtain Lewis Dunk. He's not worth that much.

I would suggest £30-35m in today's contact prices.

You do need to take into account - worth v going rate.

There's no way he's worth £50m
But
what's the going rate for a player who is:-

Mid 20's
English
International
2 x Premier League experience.
Top 5 rated in most Premier League stats.
Club captain

Interesting thread, but have to say.....
£40m-£45m for Dunk
£35m-£40m for Duffy
Probably the lower end of those ranges.

Although Duffy justifiably PotY IMO, he is a little cumbersome in possession, hence the difference.

Realistically... Dunk should only consider a top 6 move. TB should slap a silly high price on him. Duffy maybe more likely if GP assesses he cannot develop his ball playing skills, but... realistically, don’t you think GP will want to fight to retain our best playing asset, I.e. the super defending capabilities of the double D partnership? So, realistically, I don’t think either will go unless a big 6 side bids silly high...

If Duffy could score with his head he would have had a hat full of goals.
Duffy was still the leading goal scoring defender in the Premier League suggesting it's not quite that simple.

If he learned to head downward and not to the stars he would have been our leading scorer I expect.
When he goes up for corners it is so predictable.

I made enough out of Shane hitting the target this season to more or less cover all my other foolish bets, making it my least losingest* season this century

I suppose on target could still be 0.001mm below the crossbar, hehe.

Interesting to see so many people suggesting that we'll decide if he goes. In reality these days, the power is with the player, contract or not. If Dunk or Duffy decide they want to go, they will get to go. We'll probably get a substantial, but unwanted, premium, but they'll go nevertheless.
