Even taking that on board which is arguable, he is still the greatest footballer this country has produced in the last 15 years, which was my original point. I'm not saying he is the best player in the current squad.

Define greatest. I think he is a nice enough bloke. He has gone missing in EVERY SINGLE TOURNAMENT HE HAS PLAYED IN. How does that make him great?
Well obviously you think Don Fabio is ridiculous as well, as he plays players such as Milner, Walcott, Barry, Carrick, Joe Cole and more ahead of him...

Yeah, he really does go missing in every single tournament he has played in. Scoring and setting up crucial goals and being one of the best players in the world at set pieces. Carrying the England team singlehandely in 2006 when the rest of the team were mediocre at best...who needs him? He probably wouldn't even make the Brighton squad if we tried to sign him.

Give me an example of a SINGLE great performance from David Beckham in a major tournament. If he's the "greatest player" we have produced in a long time, this will be very, very easy for you.
