Just realised the Gooners next match is away to Man City! Can't imagine that will go well for them.

Nephew's Birthday Party in June and the Arsenal brother-in law was laughing to everyone that £50 million for Ben White was more than the value of our whole squad.
F**$er.

Perhaps you should take him to a game, tell him to watch Bissouma and inform him there’s the next £50mil player we have - who is also better than any of Arsenals midfielders and also White is their best defender, yet Dunk is better than him currently… ouch…!

Not clever to laugh at Arsenal but expected of the OP. Don't we just KNOW this will come back to bite us when we play them.

I agree with this sentiment usually but it can’t possibly come back and bite us imo - even if they beat us twice like last season. The point is, they should be finishing 20/30 points above the likes of us, they consider themselves one of the big forces and are constantly underachieving. A huge % of their fans have this reaalllllyyyyy annoying entitlement which grates on fans of their local club like us. And they have a higher % of whinging goons than many clubs - their fans also were tasteless with how they treated Wenger and they’re looking silly now!

And presumably, like most Arsenal fans, he has no connection whatsoever to North London, his local team being something like Oxford Utd, Cambridge, Colchester, Gillingham, Brighton....

This is the bit that makes me want to laugh at them. They've been spoilt by years of trophies under Wenger. He even kept them in the top 4 whilst they built a new 60k all seater and even when they dropped out, they were still winning cups.

But no, that wasn't good enough. And now look at the state of them. They are clueless. I'd absolutely love it if they went down, but sadly not even Arsenal can drop that far.

Rest assured that every other club in the Division (apart from Norwich of course) are currently laughing at Arsenal. If there was any truth to this kind of 'Karma' the Gunners will now go on and win the league by about 20 points.

I think Norwich are laughing too. A Norwich supporting mate is referring to their game against Arsenal in September as their first relegation 6 pointer of the year. "Important to beat the teams likely to be around us at the end of the season" etc.

I'll Eden a guess there isn't a fanbase in the land who aren't currently laughing at Arsenal - inc Norwich.

They never knew when they had it so good.

Oh and when you hear of an Arsenal fan saying they just can't compete with the 'big spenders' and that Stan is refusing to bankroll his club.
Just remind them they've recently spent nearly £300,000,000 in order to get to second from bottom, with no points.

Great set of kits and leisurewear though

Described on the Monday Night Club last night as a basket case of a club and an utter shambles from top to bottom - both on the field and in the management set-up, choc full of expensive miss-fits and players on huge contracts they don't want and can't sell.

Something very toxic pervading Arsenal right now.

Just had a browse in the Goonersworld forum (yes, you're right, I was bored!) If Ben White had read it before he signed he wouldn't have gone there at all. If he read it now, he'd wish he hadn't!

Whilst his accountant is probably very happy with the move, from a footballing point of view it could be a fraught couple of years whilst somebody (probably not Arteta) sets about cutting the survivors out of the wreckage and they re-build.

Its fun at the moment but they will be fine and prob finish 5 - 8th

Brentford was a bad result but the occasion meant Brentford prob beat anywhen that night. Chelsea game was fair enough.

They will hit form after Man City in time to play us and all will be fine.

Enjoy it for now but reckon they will be upper mid table which is where you would expect

Let's hope it doesn't set the lad's career back too much. His confidence could easiy be shattered. I know he's left us so his form and progress isn't our concern any more, if he flops badly it could put people off buying big from Brighton - and getting our first £50M transfer over the line was a big step towards making our club sustainable.
We don't want to return to the days of, "Who does he play for? Brighton? - £10M should do it then, they'll be grateful!"
