Let all Cancer and tumour people die!

Just goes to show what the Labour government really thinks of it’s own citizens doesn’t it. They refuse a woman cancer drugs as they say it’s to expensive at £15,000 and today refused a British man vital medication to prolong his life at a cost of £10,000 a year which he and his family have paid national insurance contributions all their life and are entitled to any treatment that is available.

Bombs go off in Iraq and Tony Blair says (Labour Government) he’ll pay straight away for the 72,000gold plated dome to be rebuilt with immediate effect.. So a f***ing dome is worth more than a British life.

Vote Labour :tosser:

I don't agree with withholding cancer drugs on the grounds of cost. Don't agree with that at all. But without the Labour Party, there wouldn't BE a National Health Service.

There are scores of other drugs available to cancer patients as well as radiotherapy and chemotherapy, so regardless of what money is being spent abroad, the Government is not just letting the cancer patients die.

They seem to be doing there level best to take the Health out of the NHS though.

Anyway that was very old labour not the national socialist version we have now.

Sadly that Labour Party is unrecognisable compared to the current one.

wherever the money is
Agree that we should look after our own before worrying about others. I understand giving aid to countries that need it but building a f***ing dome to keep a few thousand people happy is a disgace in my book.

Shame there isn't an infinite pot of money available so that everybody can get the absolute best treatment possible.

There are deep moral and ethical dilemmas involved with spending money on treatments. It is probably wisest to spend the money so that the most people can be helped, needs of the many and all that.

In any case, in the breast cancer case that I believe is being referred to by Oceanic the drug concerned has not yet been approved for use with the type of cancer that the woman has. Another dilemma, do you give someone a drug that potentially has unknown side-effects?

I don't know what the right answer to any of these questions is, and I'm glad that I don't have to make these sort of life and death decisions.

Bollocks, I'm as Old Labour as they come but let's it right - there is only one bit of Nazi propoganda on this thread, and that's the BNP propaganda crib sheet that Oceanic regularly puts on here.

They need to get their priorities right.

They spend vast amounts and have spent vast amounts, of money on IVF treatment. Something that is not life threatening in the slightest.

The national lottery is sitting on £2.2bn, surely this could be used by a charity to help fund peoples treatment. Or am I being too idealistic???

I bet you are not. You are a middle class wannabe with a jealous inferiority complex. You do, however, have the bile, greed and intolerance of Scargil, Hatton and that ilk.

There are a frighteningly large number of similarities bewteen the German national socialists and the ones now running this country. For example, in 1934 the nazis removed the right to appeal and trial by jury, they introduced new terrorist measures and controls on free speach. Sounds familiar?

Perhaps Honecker and Zhivkov are more to your taste - you sound like them. Unfortunately, the actions of this government make them look increasingly moderate. You should change your crib sheet.

My little girl was refused a treatment that could have prolonged her life and kept her well enough to withstand transplant surgery. Our local health authority refused it on the grounds of funding, we appealed and they said the money is just not there we are £XX in the red blah blah. Appealed above them and were told to go swivel by a horrible vile little man who I am sure his family get the very best care at the drop of a hat.

That is awful. I am sorry.

It is despicable and I can't begin to imagine how you felt walking out of that guys office, knowing that he could simply sign a bit of paper....

It is disgusting that we plough so much money into the NHS, yet when it comes to it, and some people that desperately need the care to go further, you are let down.

Shocking, considering we are a "rich" country.

So only the working class are allowed to be left wing then?

No wonder Labour could never stay in power for more than one term until Blair. They were only ever appealing to a fraction of the electorate...
