Well Bennett's Field Bunny on Twitter has said: Ullua will sign this week. Possibly by Wednesday but certainly in time to be in squad on Saturday. The final cog in the promotion machine.

But he has been a bit hit and miss with his predictions.

Like to believe Bennetts field but since the tweet that Bothroyd had signed on transfer day (for Sheffield Weds it turned out) this makes me even more doubtful!

Wouldnt worry to much its all probably part of the agents game..... He knows we want him, drop in a few hints about granadas interest to rachet up the contract terms for his client.

I still think he's coming here if he gets passport

I don't think it will be the personal terms that dictate the move. It's probably true that he has already reached an agreement he is happy with at Granada albeit Brighton would pay him more (in that sense it's similar to the Vicente August saga).

Apart from Granada having to ship out a non-EU player the main area of contention will be the fee. From what I remember the Almeria President receives half of the transfer fee personally so there is a big incentive there to hold out. Granada are relegation fodder and in need of another striker, but I doubt they're going to be paying big money for anyone.

In the current market I don't think Ulloa is worth more than 1 million euros to anyone, but if there's more than one bidder it might end up a lot more than that.

I think he announced Buckley signing a new deal before anyone else though.

BFB hasn't a clue about anything.

Bennets field bunny never gets anything right, bit of a fantasist.

Apart from Buckley signing a 4 year contract bennettsField: But to save you the 60p on buying the argus tomorrow. Buckley has signed a contract extension, that is all.

I'm sure that was on here, the Argus site and indeed on the official site, before being printed in the Argus.

When he said about Buckley I checked the official site and argus and there wasn't a thing about the new contract

Thunder Bolt

Silly old bat
It was on here before being printed in the Argus, but BFB broke the news before anyone else. Trust me I was wide awake at work when all this happened.

Bozza and a couple of others knew long before it was tweeted but kept quiet, so it seems that someone else told bfb who broke the news. It was hardly an exclusive.

Ulloa's future still in the melting pot From The Argus)

Still does not have a spanish passport. I was going to post that I am begining to get frustrated with our "sagas" when it comes to transfers. However the fact is this kinda thing has gone on in the past in various forms for years. The actual reason it feels worse is we have the internet now and all kinds of info and miss info is available. I shall be checking the main site only I think from now on.

p.s- I still have a feeling (totally unqualified) that he will sign for us.

You have to admit that he does spout a lot of fishing crap to hook the gullible though. The boy who cried wolf and all that...
