I do sometimes wonder just how committed pro players are though... let's be fair about it, maybe he could have made much more effort to the cause.. moving to the area would have been nice. He moved from an area of London to another area of London, so it smacks of non-commitment a touch.

Many players don't live near their clubs these days. With so many short contracts these days (eg 2 years), you wouldn't want to take the risk and hassle of moving house if it wasn't needed.

Using Tank as an example, he was never going to be here for a long time and if his family are settled, why move? His journey is probably a maximum of an hour and a half each way - many people on here have the same commute to work each day so what's the difference?

Good move for Leon, the way it looks he could be back in The Championship next season looking down on us in League One...

For fucks sake lets not waste the £62,500 on another 'one for the future'.

£62k going to Chelsea, it's laughable isn't it? Doesn't even pay Lampard for the Friday, Saturday, Sunday bit of his every working week does it? Hardly seems worth Roman sending his chechen mafia to collect it. Paultry amount to them, the world to us. Just think, somewhere in the City some trader's probably just spent the equivalent on a single bottle of wine tonight!

Surely sell on clauses less than £100k shouln't apply to Premiership clubs?!!???

Good luck Leon, you will be missed but it may take some time for some twats on here to realise it.

And it should take some others on here no time at all to realise he was a f***ing waster who had talent but no idea how to apply it on a regular basis.

Hey its gossip!

Nope I'm with Yorkie on this one. Complete unfounded lies and can't believe any TRUE Albion supporter thinks it's remotely funny to resurrect such rubbish. Harty deserves a lot better than such snide remarks on a NSC about his private life.

Complete shite. you don't go from a 27 goal a season player to a 4 or 5 goal a season player unless you are being played shockingly out of position. OK, you go up a grade, you might expect a striker to drop in goals scored, but not by that degree. Unless he's been moved to the wing or to a midfield position.

Confidently expect Leon to score a shitload of goals for Swansea.

McGhee, on the other hand, is a disgrace to the Albion.

Tosh Tom.
Leon cannot hack it at Championship level.
How many of those 27 goals did he get as penalties until refs decided that he dived.
He was only played out of position a couple of times.
Ask the people who sit next to you in H block what they thought of Leon. When I sat in your seat last Boxing Day 2004 they moaned so much about him I wanted to move.

When he delivered the goods we could forgive his arrogance, petulance, cocky cockney swagger and general unpleasantness, when the goals dried up all we were left with was a petulent, arrogant, cocky and unpleasant litttle s***.

Best for all parties that he has gone. Given the events of this season £125k (or even £62.5k) is a good deal.

Why turn on Harty? the exact opposite of LK - not remotely funny.
