There's a reason he's a free agent, he's a cock. He's made himself pretty much untouchable in this country with his appalling attitude and complete tosspotness. Maybe having kids now may make him realise this but i fear its already too late for Leon. :tosser:

Crawley.

Actually, it is a shame (for us, with an interest) that this interview is just basically an advert. Some decent questions like 'Don't you think your career should have been much better', 'Why was that exactly', and 'Why do all your ex-managers and team-mates hate you' might have yielded some more interesting responses.

Rarely can such a proven ex goalscorer for the Albion have beeen regarded with such contempt as this little twat.

Not planning to "go looking" and expecting someone to come for him, and as far as him prepared to go on trial... In some clubs' cases it will be a trial, for the higher profile clubs. In some cases, in the lower profile clubs, it could just be a contract. It depends which club you get. I would know what would be on the cards and they would know

They certainly would.

Barrel of Fun

Abort, retry, fail
My most successful time was at Brighton, and I was there for three-and-a-half years and knuckled down.

Erm...

I hate the guy because he has wasted his talent. One of the finest players I have witnessed playing for us and he is begging and scraping for any old team at the ripe old age of 28(?).

If he wants to make a career out of football, he needs a personality transplant and they are not yet readily available.

Too many issues to contend with and not enough drive to want to succeed. Oh well.

I only ever really look at him in a postive light for what he achieved for us.

A talented player who pressed the self destruct button sadly.

I don't feel the need to call him names or slate him as i have to many fond memories of him.

Can't genuinely say I ever considered him anything other than a little jumped up obnoxious git even when he was scoring goals for us, no real fond memories of him at all, I never really saw him as one of us and he never tried to be either. I don't ever recall anyone I sat with or near talking about him in glowing terms or worshipping him like some other former players such as Saint Bobby Zamora or His Highness Peter of Ward.

On the bright side, at least WE got the best out of him and profited from his ability for the brief period in his career when he was a decent striker. I'd be really pissed off if I was a supporter of one of the many clubs who tried their luck with him after us.

I am of more of Algie's view, i would probably miss the "fond" word out though.

You would have thought that the journey from Chelsea to no where might have had an effect by now, must be living in absolute denial.???

The article is an opportunity for him to try and sell himself, you can hardly blame him for saying in not so many words that he's messed his employers about. Apart from us and his early career at Swansea he's not exactly been prolific. It's always a shame to see talent going to waste though. His problems really started at Chelsea from what I was told. I was working recently with the brother of an ex Chelsea player who started around the same time as he did. Chelsea kissed his arse liberally to get him to sign as well as 'other inducements' and as a consequence he developed his infamous ego as frankly he just didn't wise up as his career went into free fall.

to be honest though, I wouldn't mind him being given a chance here as long as he did something very radical about his attitude. However seeing as how Gus saw off Forster for a hell of a lot less than Mark McGhee had to put up with it'd never happen. Knight has a car crash of CV and he will surely be written off now.

Considering recent libellous issues, you really shouldn't be posting stuff like that..
