I'll never forget that prolific season or the moment he dispatched that penalty in Cardiff. I really hope this is not the end, but it does not look good. :(

good.the little shit can piss off!

If he is as good as everyone on hear makes him out to be then why is no one interested in him.

Can't stand players who think they are better than they are and then sulk if they don't get their own way. Knight has always been like this (ask Sheff weds fans what they think of him??)

Hardly set the world alight in the championship has he.

Got goals in the 3rd division of english football but done nothing since!

I think Knight is the problem rather than McGhee but I would be sorry to see him go since he has ability but often needs a well aimed kick up the jacksy to get him motivated. There is obviously a clash between the Manager and Knight and one will have to go - I suspect Knight.

when you have your backs to the wall and the albion have you can do without players who continually throw their toys out of the pram and will not give their all.

better I think to have a 16year old who would die for the club.
sell him ?who to he is a striker/forward who does not strike(other than in the down tools meaning) :nono:

one good thing to cheer me up

Leon Knight - I truel hope you read this thread and listen to what's being said.

We're grateful for what you've done in the past but it really is true in football that "no one player is bigger than the club or manager". Even Roy Keane found that out. Brighton fans owe you nothing though, you get paid a decent salary even by our low standards. But you've let us down with your ego-battles with McGuee and I hope you find another club now. Good luck to you but unless you change your attitude (young man!) you're heading the same way as other promising players such as Junior McDougald and Jeff Minton. I reckon you'll be in the non-league within 3 years. For your sakes I hope you prove me wrong. It's not just injuries that finish football careers, attitudes do.

Shame really as he has great talent but he needs to move somewhere where fans and management will appreciate him.

Jesus. Why do you lot love him soooooooooooooo much?

Admittedly, McGhee could have used him better at times, but he's hardly set the world alight. This years team has been the most suited to his style of play and yet how many goals does he have?

Leon had a great first season but he's struggled at this level, and maybe ultimately he's just not an amazing championship player.I think he's one of our best players but people over-rate him and Im sure we could find someone to replace him.

Too true. Bryan Wade was also prolific......against Newcastle......

Personally Knight should be sold, he is an arrogant, lazy, useless, spoilt, over-paid, Chisla

knight does seem to believe he is to big for the club.
However the fact that Virgo and Harding were snapped up by clubs with bigger reputations should speak volumes.
From what i have seen, Knight has now become a disruptive influence and the sooner mcghee outs him the better.

wont be sorry to see him leave, yes scored the goals ok in the 1st div, but not good enough for the CCC, and i think that chip on his shoulder is stuck on,

If Leon Knight doesn't want to be here, as his performance on Satuirday and his absence today suggest, it's best if he goes.... but I think it's McGhee's handling of him that has led to his disillusionment. :(

It looks like there is no way back now anyway, so thanks for the memores and good luck for the future Leon.

:( :( :(

It maybe that the rest of the players have just had enough of him.
MM must get complaints from his team mates.
It is the same in all walks of life where you work as a team, if someone doesn't pull their weight someone lets the manager know they and others are not happy about it.
I have heard a rumour that two senior pro's at the club have had run in's with Leon in the last month.

What's the point of playing Knight? His performance on Saturday showed that he wasn't bothered, McGhee's absolutely right to leave out someone who doesn't give 100%.
