Leon Knight admits Brighton career is over

By the way, there's a difference between wanting to play and speaking your mind, and criticising other decisions the manager has made that have nothing to do with you. That's not Knights remit and hardly makes it seem as if he was desperate to play for the club.

Shall we wait and see how many clubs come dashing in for this underated talent who has never got himself a reputation for being awkward ?

I'm sure that the moment he is on the transfer list there will be a queue of premier and championship clubs ............... Orient anyone ? :lolol:

A tin pot lower league team would the ideal place for the stroppy gobshite to attempt to rebuild his career. Mind you jills don't get on his back when he starts moaning at the lack of service.

Lower league team hmmmm. where will you be next season? Least we actaully play in a something you call a stadium and not a local park.

Priestfield a stadium?

Yes it may be better than Withers, but a stadium? Are you sure?

It's not his effort on the pitch I'm questioning so much (although he can at times give up on causes to quickly, and needs to work on his positioning), but his attitude off it. His arrogance can't go down to well with the other players, such as Hart, who knew he was poor and took the substitution like a man, not a child playing under-14's

No-one's asking him to change that dramatcially, just act like the pro he is paid to be

He is really starting to piss me off, I've defended him all season, but he (and we) would do that little bit better if he lost the chip on his shoulder and took it like a pro

This particular poster seemed to have a lot of problems with Leon Knight once :)

Blimey, how far back did you go for those? A little too much time on your hands there!

I've never disputed the fact Knight has an attitude - but a good manager can handle that.

20 months ago, and 5 seconds using NSC search.

This was you getting a bit upset with Leon when he kicked a water bottle after being subbed. This was in the season when he actually got 27 goals for our club.

Since then, he has underperformed lamentably, has probably one of the worst scoring records of any postwar striker, coasts through training and now, to cap his memorable Albion career, he tries to stir up other players against the club management.

And yet now you back him against McGhee.

What happened to you? :)

LI would you also like to search what you said to me on Christmas Eve about MM and his man management when it now appears that LK was doing exactly what I said happened as told to me by a relative of a first teamer. MM will not tell a player he is dropped he leaves the dirty work to BB and DW and will not discuss it with the player.

Not if LK is not prepared to compromise or accept some of the blame

If the little twat got on and scored or at least tried to score a few goals and stopped trying to manage the team,we might be fairly safe by now.
sorry it's got to be

There was a post from a Huddersfield fan printed here recently highlighting Leon's attitude when on loan there.

It is a shame but just because he has asked to go on the transfer list doesn't mean he is going.
Danny Cullip spent practically a whole season on the transfer list at his own request. He obviously wasn't happy with Taylor.

It happens and it is a shame.

McGhee shows little evidence of being a competent man-manager, though. Knight's comments are interesting - he, like other players, recognises Coppell as a proper manager.

Get rid - it's clearly unsettling the club, the problem is not going to go away. I just hope someone comes in for him.

Is a great shame though,he's probably the most skillful player at the club, but we're clearly not going to see any more of him, or develop his game to the next level.

Proven track record of getting teams out of this league, reputation for taking rough diamonds like Ian Wright and Dave Kitson and turning them into very good players. Yeah I would say that Coppell is a proper manager.

It was the expression I found funny not the content of his post.

Funny how this all kicks off as soon as the transfer window opens :dunce:

Ah well, if he goes, he goes and its hardly as though we will miss his goals is it.

Its strange but it bseems he manages to wind management people up at just about every club he's ever been at.

Sheffield Wed

and since when is it his place to comment on team selection.
