Coventry....one away win all season. Easiest home game they could ask for.

True, but stranger things have happened. The pressure is all on SCC. Coventry already down - and sometimes relegated teams perform better than they have done all season.

I can see West Ham thumping Hull - and 3-0 would be enough to win promotion if SCC fail to win.

We should also hope West Ham thrash Hull because if we beat Barnsley it would give us a chance of finishing in the top 8.

If Southampton fans are worried about Coventry at home why would they even want to go up.

They will win that and go up, nothing to see here.

but, end of season, strange things do happen

They aren't worried that Coventry are too good for them, if they are worried it is that Coventry may be a banana skin. Any team can be scared of a banana skin. Coventry may not have won much but they won v middlesbrough, the team that beat southampton on saturday. They may be scared the team will get a little nervous under the pressure - they have lost three of their last 6.

To suggest that a nervy end to the season means they shouldn't want to see their team get promoted is extremely wrong, imo. I want to emphasise how wrong and illogical that is with more descriptive words, but I don't want it to come across like the words are aimed at you, so I'm leaving it at 'extremely wrong'.

Come on, they will beat Coventry easily.

Anything can happen etc, but it won't.

They should beat coventry. But that doesn't mean they will, and it doesn't mean that they're not allowed to want to go up if they express a little bit of nerves about that possibility that they don't.

From the BBC....is this bollocks? I think so. If saints draw 0-0 and West ham win 4-0 then West Ham will have a better GD wont they?

"If Southampton draw on the final day and West Ham win but score four more goals than the Saints, their records would be identical. This would bring about a special play-off, in which the winner would secure promotion while the loser would enter the regular play-offs."

Not worried about Saturday at all. They need to win, hope we lose/draw and need a 4 goal swing...

We have more than enough fire power to do it.

Anyone checking these facts is simply wasting their time.

3-0 would give them the same GD but saints have scored more goals.

If Wham win 3 nil and we draw 0 - 0, Wham win on goals scored. However if we were to get a 1 - 1 we win on head to head and so on and so on. One things for sure, we'll finish above Albion so wheres my tenner?

9.2 If two or more Clubs have the same number of points, goal difference and goals scored the highest placed Club shall be determined by the respective League records against each other, taking into account in order of precedence, points gained, goal difference and goals scored. If the above procedures do not separate the Clubs, then the Clubs concerned shall play off a deciding League Match or Matches under arrangements approved by the Board on a neutral ground. The net gate money after deducting the usual match expenses shall be equally divided between the two competing Clubs. Any Club staging such a play off match shall be entitled to charge as an expense against the receipts of the match 10% of the gross gate receipts after deduction of Value Added Tax. In the event of such a match being arranged by the Board to be played on the ground of a Club which is not a member of The League, then a similar charge as an expense against the receipts of the match shall be paid by The League who shall otherwise be responsible for the financial arrangements made with the Club staging the match. These provisions shall determine the ranking of Clubs in their respective Divisions.

Saints it is then, no one off match nonsense.
