Seemed a little bit off it today, not too disappointed with a point in the end. Looking forward to watching it back properly....looked like a pen on Welbeck in real time, both our goals looked fantastic.

Brighton head coach Roberto De Zerbi speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "I think we deserved to win. We almost lost the game because the football is like this, but I think we played well. I saw the stats and it's incredible for us.

"Today, I want to speak for the referee because there was another clear penalty and I don't know the referee. They were able to give me the yellow card, which was right, but one penalty incident was so clear."

On Kaoru Mitoma and Evan Ferguson: "Mitoma scored a fantastic goal and Ferguson is an 18-year-old. I want to give him one more attention than other players. Danny Welbeck played a good game and I am sorry for the result because Leicester have never been dangerous.

"They found the first goal and we didn't wait at that moment. It's a downfall of our set-pieces. One mistake for us, but I think there was a corner before the corner of the Leicester goal. It's the same case for us, with Mitoma's situation."

For weird reasons I watched the game with French commentators. It was way better. "Mitoma c'est magnifique!" :clap2:
Commenting in football, hockey, baseball, tennis... It's all much better in French!

... Although I'll admit to possibly being ever so slightly biased. 😇

Only listened on the radio but a point away is never a bad thing. Sounds like we were a little under par, hard done by in terms of refereeing but still pulled off a couple of decent goals. M'eh. On to the Eubank fight.

Leicester City winger Marc Albrighton speaking to Premier League Productions:

"Mixed emotions in the dressing room. We got ourselves in a great position with the second goal. The pressure that they put on us in the second half, it was always going to be difficult to keep that lead. They're a really good side, put us under a lot of pressure and I think the spirit and the fight was there for us today. Just disappointing to concede so late on.

"It's difficult, with the way that they play, you have got to be wary as well. A lot of the teams they have beaten and beaten comfortably are teams that have come out and pressed them and chased to try and get the ball back and they have just picked them off and broke through them and that happened once or twice in the first half occasionally but other that, as far as the game plan goes, I don't think we could have done it any better up until right at the end where obviously we should probably deal with the goal better.
Blue print for other teams playing us right there.

I’m really pleased that JPVH gets the nod over Webster.

Why?

Because Webbo is notoriously poor in the comeback campaign after injury. I think he is better than JPVH but needs to be gradually reintroduced so as to minimise the inevitable clangers.
Hmm, are you still sure that was the right call?

Definitely a pen - I wondered if the ref had played the advantage, so didn't go back to it. Not a justification - but the only explanation I can think of. Reminded me of the pen he got against Liverpool (?) a couple of years ago - wasn't much of a foul but he was kicked and taken out, so it's a foul... ref was not even called over to look at it so can only assume advantage played. Loons
How can you play advantage for a foul in the box
