He wouldn’t be making the starting XI if that were actually the case. He hasn’t necessarily declined but we do have other very good options.

They do. But he was very good last Tuesday, so I for one am reluctant to write him off completely.

Gross hasn’t actually declined but our side has actually got better. I think Gross is as good as that first season and a half under Hughton, BUT our play has got faster and we have more quality options. The fact he is still making the starting XI should tell anyone he’s still a top level player.
