Trying to make some sense of this somewhat tedious (although now quite amusing) thread. In summary, no-one appears to have any evidence at all of anything in relation to any bid/value for Leo, so have resorted to trading schoolboy insults and boasting about who knows what and who's had the more informative job.

Irony is that if (my guess would be 'when') he is sold, it will be for an 'undisclosed fee' and the debate will continue........

You're not wrong: IF it happens, it will definitely be undisclosed.

This what NSC is all about

What if that's undisclosed?

It's obvious isn't? If we get what the papers are saying say £4 - £5m then that covers our outlay and a few pennies more considering we paid £2m then take into account the signing on fee, the agent cut and Ulloa wages over the last two seasons then the profit is? Zero.

You have to think Like Bloom, he hasn't made his money by breaking even has he and he isn't going to allow Ulloa to go cheap and will not want Ulloa to leave as he's our only striker and probably the best in the championship. Ulloa is irreplaceable unless you want to spend mega money.

There seem to be many on here who have forgotten it took the best part of TWO seasons to replace our last top goalscorer, Mr G. Murray.
Sadly it looks like it's not if Ulloa will go, but when.
The club must stay strong and this time, be true to their word, and hold out for a top price rather than cave in as it has done with others.
Make no mistake, Ulloa is the real deal in the Championship and will be very difficult to replace.

You're right. I think we will hold out for a top price though. Don't forget we willingly let Mr G. Murray go. Mistake or not, we didn't rate him enough to stay. I don't think we will make that mistake with Ulloa.

Most fans (before they knew he was going) who went to every Withdean game, rated Murray very highly. Poyet didn't particularly, despite his garbled bullsh*t 2 years later about 2 budgets back in 2011, when he finally talked about the then obvious mistake. Giving a further reason why TB appointed PB and Burke, to reduce the chance of further blunders by autocratic Poyet in the future.

With Ulloa - many fans seem certain we will get the best part of £10m, or he's staying put. We'll soon find out.

Exactly. Can't see us making the mistake again. Agree that most rated Murray highly but lots didn't for his workrate etc and I think many trusted Poyet at the time. I don't think any of that applies to Ulloa. We like t compare the two for obvious reasons, but the situation is very different I think.

Sat in SS at Withdean. Never heard anything against Murray but was aware early in his Albion career that a small minority on the internet slagged him off because he appeared to be too languid like Berbatov, and/or didn't smile, and/or had the cheek to flirt with moving elsewhere. Around me and everyone I knew sitting elsewhere at Withdean rated him, and this increased once he got over injuries and shone in the Poyet era starting in that Sunday win at St.Mary's. When he was allowed to leave, many fans were gutted, but thought the £3.25m CMS signing a coup, soon realising otherwise as Murray shone at Palace and CMS tried hard but showed his obvious limitations.

Not sure it was a small minority but agree with everything else you say. I don't think anyone doubted his ability but it was more than a small minority that questioned his commitment. I disagree with them myself and did at the time but it was enough. Let's face it if he had been that loved we wouldn't have the man from argentina song, would we?

I can certainly vouch that a large percentage of those around me were as critical, thinking back to the Withdean days (H-Block).

The vast majority rated him very highly, but even those who did, were perhaps annoyed at the (seemingly) lack of effort he used to put in. I specifically remember a game in which he got caught on the ball, and allowed their player (if memory serves me correctly, it was Delph for Leeds?) to run the length of the pitch without any attempt to track him.

It's quite easy to criticize someone who, despite all his skill and ability, did seem slightly lazy, even if it wasn't the case.

(Before someone quotes me, please note that I rate Murray EXTREMELY highly).

In C and D block initially he was either liked or some were uncertain. But ironically it was under those Poyet 18 months, that even the waverers, began to rate him bloody highly.

Bugger me - your logic is crap ! How can I prove something didn't happen - it's nonsensical. I can't prove God doesn't exist so I'm unlikely to be able to prove the Albion didn't use the press. You on the other hand claim they DID something. That would mean there was evidence of this 'doing' happening. But of course you've made it up so you can't prove it.

its funny to read you lot squabbling over a player that will sit on our bench all season when we sign him, but to be fair B.W it was printed in our local paper that "the seagulls will not accept any less than 10M for him"
