Barnsley new boy Rob Kozluk turned down a move to Leeds United due to manager Dennis Wise.

Kozluk was released by Sheffield United at the end of last season and held talks regarding a move to Elland Road.

A deal was unable to be completed due to Leeds being in administration and the player explains he was not keen to sign after talking with Wise.

"I spoke to Dennis Wise and the chief executive at Elland Road, but they couldn't sign me because of the situation the club was in," Kozluk told the Yorkshire Post.

"But, in any case, I didn't feel it was right for me. Leeds United, yes, but Dennis Wise, no.

"If I had walked into that club, I don't think it would have been right for me."

Kozluk subsequently agreed a two-year deal with Barnsley and believes his former club - The Blades - need to start rewarding players.

He added: "There's unrest in the camp and some players are not being given what they deserve.

"They need to start sorting out the club's honest professionals, some of whom have been there years."

nice words mate. have been in germany watching this sorry arsed football club on tour, but good for you all with the new stadium. hopefully this really is the light at the end of your tunnel.

the only light coming down our tunnel is a huge freaking train. complete stand off and bates has started turning on our own fans now telling us that once we stood united and now we're falling divided or some other cock and ball. well that beardy ole plonker never stood united with me. and he'll learn fast about being divided if this staring contest continues.

complete badger. our choice right now is bates or nothing. unfortunately. he has 'bought' what there was too buy (and kpmg have still not provided us with the documents we were promised) and as such kpmg cannot now resell it to us even if they wanted to. so bates gets the golden share and he can take us into the football league. bates doesn't get the golden share and the old leeds which the fl say can play in administration cannot enter the league because it now no longer exists, technically.

i have read and reread and talked with the men that know and in my opinion there is absolutely no way the fl can grant the golden share to leedsunited07.
