Leeds v Cardiff

Barrel of Fun

Abort, retry, fail
Poyet hates Leeds.

I must have missed that. I thought he left on re4asonable terms.

Poyet turned them down once and he won't be going anywhere for a long time as he's building something very special here.

They were not such a great proposition back then. They will be making more money now and are 46(ish) games away from the top flight if he fancies a jaunt with the Prem.

This is very true.

However, he's just got them promoted so I think he has a season of security UNLESS he gets them involved in a relegation battles, which I don't think they'll do. I think they're going to have an inconsistent mid-table season. He'll be under pressure to get them challenging next year though.

I'm not sure I trust Bates to be reasonable and the Leeds fans do not seem particularly patient. They are not filling the stadium and anything that threatens to ruins Uncle Ken's masterplan is a problem.

Bellamy was great tonight. Man City could do with him. I do love that fellow. Must be my Welshe ancestry coming to the fore.

I'm far from "unambitious". Gus has said he has a fondness for Leeds though, so that would be one of the clubs I'd be most worried about losing him too. In fact, I'd say it's the only club that would realistically be interested in him at this stage that he might actually be tempted by. I'd still back him to stay, but it's a situation that can be avoided by Leeds keeping themselves 10 points above the relegation zone all season.
Poyet seems very honest and loyal and his goal will be to take us to the premiership not shitty leeds.

I respect your opinion though:thumbsup:

I can't see Leeds getting rid of Grayson, he is a good manager and is a major reason why Blackpool are where they are so I would think they will stick with him for the long term

Yep, he is deffinitely a major reason why Blackpool are where they are. He left.

Yeah I wasn't doubting Gus at all. He is ambitious, he is loyal, and he is committed to us. He signed a four year contract not so long ago, so of course he is. That's why I'm not concerned we might lose him any time soon, but I think if we did it would have to be a team he has some affinity with to prise him away. Sadly, that is Leeds. So although I don't think it will happen (certainly not this season anyway), I just think they're near the top of the list of clubs he would go to in difference circumstances:thumbsup:

I agree with the affinity bit, however he hates Ken Bates, they just don't get on. So I think we are safe all the time old gnomeface is there.

Ken Bates has been quoted as say "no f***ing chance" of Gus getting a managers job at Leeds while he is chairman. We have to remind him of that when he sacks his next boss
