I heard off someone on or around the date they got their 15 points deducted that you could have got 100/1 on them winning the league....anybody take the bet or know if its true.

I for one am a little shocked at just how well they have started...I thought they would do well...but they are destroying anyone in their path...Teams like forest,Swansea,southend,tranmere..who were all well fancied have done nout early doors..and it is looking like if Leeds continue..they will win the league.

If I had known they were offereing mad odds like 100/1..would have had least had a tenner on it.

Leeds wont win the league, they'll be lucky to make the play-offs.

I know people dont like leeds on here and I include myself in this...but no1 else is winning every league game at the moment....

So they;ve scraped a couple of late winners. Undeniably a good start to the season, but they could easily have ended up drawing those games, and then the picture would be very different. They stuffed Southend out of sight, but even we beat them, so I wouldnt be proclaiming them Champions elect just yet, not even near.

After we turned them over on the opening day, Rotherham got off to a flier last year and made light work of their 10 point deduction. Where did THEY end up ?

The only team they've beaten convincingly is Southend and they looked extremely poor last saturday.

I think they'll be in the play-off mix. Hopefully losing finalists.

It's got nothing to do with not liking Leeds, i just dont think they will win it, and like i said not sure they'll even make play-offs.

Thats the thing with teams who start off with a points deduction, They seem to wipe it out fairly quickly and then it all starts going tits up and I would'nt be surprised if Leeds dont do the same.

So back to the original question...no1 knows if it was true about them being 100/1 to win the league?

Also...if you look at it....if they dont win it who will?

I reckon forest have a good chance as soon as they sack Calderwood.

not sure about 100/1, i took 66/1 for a LITTLE BIT OF FUN AFTER THE DEDUCTION. oops excuse caps, the baby is helping. after the points deduction. not sure what the odds are now, but a few weeks back 33/1 was floating around.

mr bates is back in bed with the fa - the fact hmrc had nothing against us to go to court (and so the cva could have stood) has given much weight to bates' appeal, currently at the review stage with the fa. expect that to linger on a little all season.

but we've started better than any of us dared to hope, a couple of defeats in the opening few games and that gap would have been huge - numerically and mentally. certainly not going to win the league (though it'd be nice) and i said before the season on here staying up will suit me.

there is such a huge change at er now wise has shipped out blackwells team and got his team now, the seige mentality they have and the team spirit. haven't seen it like that there since the days of chapman, strachan, vinnie and sir howard wilkinson.

might even hit zero points tomorrow if we are lucky.

Not many teams ever win the league by 15 points!

Abort, retry, fail
They have bought enough quality players on 'undisclosed' fees to walk this league. Whether or not, 15 points will be the deciding factor is another matter. They are currently showing as much generosity to their opponents as they did to their creditors.

Didn't crawley start with a flier as well last season?

Seig mentality is right. Its enough to give them an edge now like the way bottom teams start beating midtable teams towards the end of the Season.

This in mind and that leeds will need the equivelent of 100+ points to get auto promotion in second place seems to suggest to me that they may at best make the play offs with the equivellant of 85 points.(before deductions)

I would geuss they will fade out to mid table when other teams bed down a bit at best. Although they need a mid table average of about 65 points to avoid the drop. Not easy to do when 4 teams go down.
