Well there is profit paul pontificating about the railways while also being on the board that agreed the tele deal or something.
But why cant he argue for a later KO on the sat (or earlier) bearing in mind the unique circumstances of the travel situation.

The evening service is patchy at best and thats on a good day! Gonna say it Barber you are a bellend

Surprised the police haven't stepped in TBH. They're surely going to have to chuck extra resources at Friday's game, which they can ill afford?

I believe the policing on the bridge and in the station is provided by BTP and paid for by UK Government. Outside the ground - Council tax payers. Inside the ground - the club.

Not sure if thats the case. A policing bill is to cover the match event as a whole - that means inside and outside the stadium.

Mr Horton's Horsham address is quite easy to find with a simple google search.......

That would top the Jamie thread, hands down.

Not sure if its been mentioned but could PB have refused sky as being unsafe then sued the RMT/Southern for the loss of earnings i.e £100k. What would be the chance of success?

Given the likely chaos I'd have thought this was one that the club could have challenged Sky on. If Sky were so insistent on it being televised then make it a Saturday lunchtime. (edit just seen BG post above)

Also a bit miffed the club haven't acknowledged potential chaos and contingency they are putting in place so at least those having to come from more than round the corner can plan, but I do know when the Pagham SSC game is!

What could really have an effect is if commuters could somehow club together to force a negative effect on Go Ahead's share price. Perhaps a co-ordinated and viral campaign by commuter groups urging anyone affected to write to their pension or investment providers to ask if go ahead form part of their portfolio, with a suggestion that business might be taken elsewhere if they do

I thought somehow, it would have to be his fault.
.

Not at all..it is more the current atmosphere where a socialist opposition is drawing on the ideas of the past.

Personally I think it is all thatchers fault....but there again everything is!

That is a fantastic idea.

The only way to resolve this is to hit shareholder profits and management bonuses.

It would be TERRIBLE if someone identified where he lived and people then started taking it in turns parking outside his drive so making it impossible for him to travel to work, and I for one would condemn such action.

Or Mick Cash maybe (who earns £128k per annum), or the local ASLEF/RMT reps..............

Unfortunately we just missed it this year but 'the twenty-ninth annual general meeting of The Go-Ahead Group plc was held on Thursday 3 November 2016 at 11:00am at the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead, Bottle Bank, Gateshead, NE8 2AR. All resolutions were passed on a poll.'

With the government now being guilty of a gross dereliction of duty towards the travelling public, could be that the most effective way to take on these people is by actually BECOMING their shareholders and creating merry hell for their board of directors. Buy the minimum number of shares and let them know exactly how you feel?

Could they not just turn the 3rd rails off so we can walk down the tracks, that would certainly make things easier?

If you did that they would turn them off for sure , mind you it can take a while from the 1st report of disgruntled punter on the line to the power off order .

I'll MEET you outside then #stupididiot

Touch a nerve did I? I will say it again, MICK CASH (appropriate name there) IS PAID £128000 PER YEAR, or OVER £10k PER MONTH, bit different to his members who he was advising to turn down a £2k payment.

OK, so I agree with you he gets paid too much. I think he should get paid less than £128,000. Although I also think he should be paid more than most city workers given that he does something real and useful in society.

But i fail to see what on earth that has to do with who is at fault for the Southern Rail farce and what can be done about it? Of all the ideas I have heard for solving this 'paying Mick Cash less' is one of the less convincing. Bishops are probably a better option

Eh? Are you serious? Our entire economy depends on what's going on in the City and it's impact on our GDP.
