Interesting observation. What do you think he brings to the team to deserve your 'quality' remark?

Well for a start he brings a lot more to the team than livermore/asinasinasinasiinyah do on the left side of the midfield. I just think most teams we play their fans are impressed by him, OK he's had a bad run of form recently but he's got a work rate, will to win and flair to match that not one other player in our squad has (apart from thornton at the moment). I would like to see some assist statistics for the past few seasons, I would guess he'd be pretty high up on those.

Cox should be a good player at this level, but nobody can seriously criticise the manager for leaving him out on his current form. The only time I've seen him up to scratch this season is at Southend after they went down to 10 men and left him plenty of space.

That said, getting the best out of Cox is a big test of Micky's management capabilities. Let's hope he isn't just cast to one side from now on.

His main problem is that he is too inconsistent. hence his demotion to the bench. When he does play he is very predictable to the opposing team and they find it very easy to snuff any influence he may have.
