Mendoza

NSC's Most Stalked
For me
Brezovan - 7 not too much to do, but solid enough

Reyes - 7 better going forward than defending. A peach of a pass switching to LuaLua

Greer - 8 monster at the back, got forward a lot too

El Abd - 7 great at the back with Greer. Went down clutching his face in the goal. Never quite sure if he got touched when it's him.

Mattock - 8 probably just my MOM. Strong, comfortable on the ball. Gets forward with some mazy runs. Solid defender, amazing last ditch goal line tackle too

Bridcutt - 7 usual steady self breaking up play, but got the ball forward more often than normal. A screaming shot from distance too.

Navarro - 7 solid, again broke up play well. Wasted some shots, but redeemed himself in style at the end

Buckley - 7 looked great again, turn of pace amazing. Not sure why he came off

LuaLua - 7 looked lively, but finally delivery was a bit off. Good to have him back

Barnes - 7 not his greatest game but did a job. Played upfront which is good to see

Vokes - 7 won a lot of headers and knock downs, shame Barnes couldn't link up well with him. Forced a great save from their keeper too. Like him, hopefully him and CMS will get a chance to play together

Noone - 6 looked off the pace and struggled after injury. To quote the man himself "blowing out his aris" few dribbles, not much end product

Vicente - 8 short time on pitch, massive impact. He is a match winner. 2 assists

CMS - 7 didn't get much of the ball, but got a goal. Hopefully now the rest of team will give him the ball in the box, instead of 30 yards out with his back to goal. Welcome back to the goal trail!

Brezovan- 7 Some good saves, but 1 mistake and could have come for a few more balls
Reyes- 6.5 Caught out a couple of times but lots of promise
Greer- 8 Well played skip
El Abd- 7 back in the centre, took a bit of time to adjust
Mattock- 7.5 Also looked good, great bit of last ditch defending.
Buckley- 6.5 - a harsh mark but have to mark him against the high standard he's set recently. Everyone a bit disjointed 1st half
Navarro- 8 extra point for a fine strike. Busy throughout
Bridcutt- 7 Usually my MOTM but just seemed a little off, meant Navarro looked better though.
LuaLua- 6.5 Defensive work has improved since I last saw him, skinned his man a few times but final ball or shot lacking each time.
Vokes- 6 Did the holding up and header winning we expect from the big fella and a good shot got off. Don't expect him to be a buzzsaw like CMS but needs to work harder on being 1st defender (and maybe just work harder)
Barnes- 7 for being a midfielder playing above his best rather than a striker playing below his.

Subs
Mackail-Smith- 7 raised pace and movement in forward line and got the opener, though for both these things we must really thank....
Vicente- 10 I was about to give 9, for changing the game, setting up both goals and some cute passes and movement, but when he manages so often to look so much better than anyone else on the pitch with a single touch it has to be a maximum (looking forward to giving him 12 one day)
Noone- 5.5 Trickery, enthusiasm, balance, determination - YES Decision making, end product, passing - No.

DONCASTER
Back in York

Brez 8 - Assertive from crosses and some good saves from headers, although a few too many punches when he should of caught

Reyes 6 - Probably a bit harsh but tried to do to much from full back (taking people on at every opportunity) He is flair though.
El Abd 7 - Relatively solid but McCormack highlighted his lack of pace and his yellow card was a rash challenge.
Greer 9 - Brrrrriliant, was even bombing on looking for the winner towards the end
Mattock 7 - Great going forward and is clearly a class player, caught out of position a few times though.

Buckley 8 - Looked dangerous, i'm sure their left back was very relieved when he was taken off (injured?)
Navarro 8 - YOU BEAUTY
Bridcutt 7 - Broke up the play well as always, although he did seemed to get out muscled more times than usual
Lua Lua 7 - Wasted a few good chances but created a few also, didn't look 100% fit imo

Barnes 7 - Good work rate, tried hard....

Vokes 7 - Won almost every header, but it rarely mattered as no-one was playing off him.

Subs:

Noone 6 - Wasn't his usual tricky self
Vicente 9 - Got involved immediately and began to boss the game
Cms 8 - Didn't do all that much but he scored so who cares??

Having been there, have to say above is spot on. Just add that Mattock was worryingly outpaced by Snodgrass and needed help to stop him, so ? pace.

In a cave
Not done this before on NSC but as I went and am on line

Brez 6 - a couple of escapes but still doing well

Mattock - 8 great kast ditch tackle, looks composed on the ball
Reyes - 7 did what was needed
El-Abd - 7 great partnership with Greer
Greer - 9 my MOTM (and player I sponsor :)) superb leader

Navs - 8 great goal and as usual worked hard
Lua Lua - 7 in and out the game but stopped there fullbacks attacking (which apparently they do quite well)
Buckley - 7 as above
Bridcutt - 8 he is a brilliant player, speeded up game a bit today which was my only concern in last couple of games

Barnes - 7 works hard and plays the role Poyet wants him to

Vokes - 7 holds ball up well, one great first time shot well saved but should have scored with a header

Subs
Noone - 7 kept the full back as busy as Buckley did
Vincente - 8 class and involved in winning goal again, he is pure quality when on the pitch
CMS - 8 responded to being dropped by doing his job and scoring!
