I did keep quiet as I posted, I turned my back but did not shout or chant anything.
There was no national silence for Charles, nor should there have been,. there should not have been a national silence for Best either. Hold it at the grounds players are connected with and no where else.
I just don't understand why people should be forced to stand in silence for a minute in respect of a total loser. He might have been a wonderful footballer but that doesn't exclude him from criticism in other parts of his life. And if people want to chant would you like another stella georgie best, let them get on with it. For me to condone such actions I'd have to disagree with them. I don't, Best was a waster and did nothing worthy of a minutes silence.
