The trouble is, on what grounds ?
If the Courts decide (perversely) that the FL were wrong to deduct the 15 points and order them to be reinstated, on what basis can the FL then say "right, we'll kick you out of the League then". They can't just do it cos they disagree with the courts ruling.

Because they are not willing to go along with the Leagues ruling?

The 15 point deduction was already the "alternative punishment" though - if that ends up getting overturned by the Courts, I can't see how the FL can then arbitrarily replace it with another punishment, cos that would just end up getting overturned for the same reason.

That's what I meant when I said the alternative punishment. Can't the FL turn round and say, as you now reject the 15 points deduction then the original punishment should come into play? Again simplistic but isn't that valid?

yep. i can't walk away now, too involved.

In that case, please spare us the "I'm a proper fan just like you" bullshit please:

and it is a tin point division full of proper football fans, proper football grounds and real football people (mostly) i read the thread the other day on here about "how far do you think brighton will progress in your lifetime" and the people saying i want us to be in the premiership, maybe challenging for champions league. i don't understand that. i know you have had some really awful times with the goldstone, with finances, with simply just existing but you are existing in a league that for now, is still all about the football, where the league haven't quite (yet, but it is coming) fallen up their arses, where any club can beat another, where there are not four teams with more money, rich backers who just pump more and more in and so preventing the others getting a look in.

eh. give me the tin pot league and let the others stick their pl up their arse. even the championship will head that way soon - the same 4/5/6 teams yo-yo-ing with their millions of parachute payments.

Because basically, you're a prawn-sandwich munching cheat who is more concerned with the wealth of Leeds United than seeing justice done. No difference to that complete twat of chairman you have really.

If Leeds take the FL to court they are surely breaking the contract between the league and club?

I would assume that all clubs have to sign something accepting that the FL word is final on everything?

So kick them out

Well, it all depends whether this 15 point penalty is upheld or not. If the court sides with the FL and upholds it then that should be the end of the matter (unless Leeds then decide to take it to the European courts or something ridiculous, which can't be ruled out I suppose).

If the court sides with Leeds and orders the FL to reinstate the 15 points, then the FL would (if they wanted to kick Leeds out of the League) presumably have to withdraw the golden share again on the original basis that Leeds came out of administration without having an agreed CVA in place.

In which case, Leeds take it to court again, go over the same argument, and presumably get that overturned as well (if they were successful getting the points back for the same reason, then presumably they could get the golden share back on the same basis). In which case everyone has just gone round in a big, pointless circle.

I dunno. Just wish Leeds would f*** off and die somewhere quietly, frankly.

you couldnt be more wrong.
Yeah of course you are.

Thats why you won't tell anyone the extent of your involvement in taking the football league to court and you're revelling in what you seem to believe will mean getting your 15 points back.

You're all bullshit.

Maybe West Ham and Leeds can form a breakaway League

Simsters on an all-out OFFENSIVE here :lolol:
 I am actually in a particularly good mood today to be honest, it's only I've had enough of paddy's hypocritical bullshitting posts. He seems to think that getting into fights following Leeds away and damaging/defacating things at Old Trafford to the extent that he's too ashamed to even state on here precisely what he did means that he is in fact a proper football fan.

Which clearly is pretty f***ing far from the truth - given his cosying up with Ken Bates and his shameful position on the 15 point deduction whilst playing the "I'm a proper grass roots football fan" card.

I dunno....easy to sit and cast stones without knowing the fully facts of Starrys involvement, but on the face of it, it is a bit of a hypocritical position I suppose. Hadn't really thought of it like that.
