I'm in a statistical mood today I think. Interesting reading:

Aug W3 D0 L0 (form position 1)
Sep W4 D1 L0 (form position 1)
Oct W4 D1 L0 (form position 1)

11 wins and two draws in the first three months - followed by the stutter:

Nov W2 D0 L2 (form position 10)
Dec W3 D2 L1 (form position 4)

And the slide - winning two, drawing four and losing four. 10 points from ten games.:

Jan W2 D1 L3 (form position 14)
Feb W0 D3 L1 (form position 21)

March is W2/L1 so far - so teetering and could go either way.

Why do Leeds think they've got a case? Surely the football league clubs could equally create a case for having them thrown out entirely?

Ideally, we'll finish 5th so that we don't get stressed, Leeds will finish 7th and take it to court to get their 15 points back - and lose.

Isn't it more than slightly embarassing that the "mighty" Leeds who have still out spend everyone in this league, need "their" 15 points back just to be tied second in this tin pot division?

lol we never had a chance last night, a very real chance of getting our points back
Seriously, who says you have a "real" chance?

Reading the explanations given by the FL at the time, I'd say the only reason you were allowed back in at all was that there were exceptional circumstances.

If Leeds take the FL to court, the FL will be wondering why they bothered bending their own strict insolvency rules in the first place. So it seems to me that Leeds United's conduct has been absolutely shocking over this.

If they take it to court and lose, I really do hope the FL throws them out of the league.

nah. we have no shame.

and it is a tin point division full of proper football fans, proper football grounds and real football people (mostly) i read the thread the other day on here about "how far do you think brighton will progress in your lifetime" and the people saying i want us to be in the premiership, maybe challenging for champions league. i don't understand that. i know you have had some really awful times with the goldstone, with finances, with simply just existing but you are existing in a league that for now, is still all about the football, where the league haven't quite (yet, but it is coming) fallen up their arses, where any club can beat another, where there are not four teams with more money, rich backers who just pump more and more in and so preventing the others getting a look in.

eh. give me the tin pot league and let the others stick their pl up their arse. even the championship will head that way soon - the same 4/5/6 teams yo-yo-ing with their millions of parachute payments.

ahh.

i can't say much because i am legally involved in the case, as things stand right now i would far rather be on our side of the table than mawhinneys.

there was/is no insolvency rule. just a preferred method but no rule.

You make an interesting point there Starry. yes this league is full of proper fans and proper football people, that said I'd like to get the premiership because I want me team to be the best they can be, I'd like to experience the big days out to places like Old Trafford and Anfield.

Yes the PL is full of prawn sandwich eating corporate wankers but I can't think of a better feeling than having my football team playing in probably the best league in the world. There are some real fans still in the premier league and with all the shit we've been through in my life time I would like to experience it just once. Given that Leeds have been there and done it all (well nearly) I guess League 1 is a welcome change from all the shit in the PL, but for a small club like us getting to the PL would mean the world.

I aint taking the piss out of them just yet, they are still ahead of us in the league, they beat us at our place, and have the chance of doing the double against us.

so why wind them up, when we have nothing to back it up with!

yes they are a dodgy club, with a lot of stuff I dont agree with, but I wont take the piss until we have at least beaten them at Elland Road!!

I cannot wait for this game!!
