As a treat why can't we introduce him to Mr Leytonstone stabber and leave them alone together in a secluded cell with just a couple of meat cleavers between them
They can then both hack away to their hearts delight

Are you all aware that him being beaten up by 5 prison guards happened before he killed Lee Rigby ? Maybe he killed Lee Rigby partly because of this event . It would hardly improve his view on authority would it now ?

Are you aware you are Wrong?

I pride myself as being one of the wooliest liberals on here, always trying and see the 'other' side, not be reactionary or caught up in phoney rhetoric.

As much as being set upon by 5 guards is troubling, it would seem their actions isn't troubling enough to stop me thinking 'well done fellas'.

You make your bed, you lie in it.

I have absolutely no regard for him, and would have been happy if he had been hanged, unfashionable as that is these days. The difference would be, that compared to being assaulted by staff, the law would have been responsible for his punishment. Whilst I can fully see why you or anyone would say well done lads, just a tiny bit of me thinks that it is not for the guards to take the law into their own hands. Where does it end? Might I think differently, if were in Lee Rigby's family - quite possibly, I fully accept, but as matters stand, this sort of action can only make a very bad matter that shade worse.

I completely agree.
At this point I would normally be pointing out the 'victims' rights, (after all I'm currently strolling down a pro Bridcutt path on t'other thread ) but, as said, as wrong as their actions were I find it incredibly difficult to admonish the guards.

Yes, I realise, just that the next assault, if the perpetrators sense tacit public support, might be against, say, a political figure, whom they don't like. As I say, when and where does it end and it could be a slippery slope. I am sure that it must be a very difficult job, with the abuse and provocation that they surely get, and I could certainly see the difference between a slap when someone has been pushed over the edge -we are all human, afterall, but if this was a premeditated act, then it is very questionable, however little sympathy you have for the victim in this case. Not easy.

Where does it say he was set upon? The police investigation said no charges against the guards. He was being restrained.
The cynic will say, they would say that anyway, but the prisoner doesn't strike me as someone who would be compliant in everything.
There's no guarantee he will win compensation.

The fact that solicitors will aid and abet him in this claim, just shows what a bunch of money grabbing, cynical, unfeeling, mercenary, vile, cock juggling thunder***** they are.

This is the types that should be sentenced to death and now he'll cost us hundreds of thousands to keep him inside...waste of our money.

I accept that my proposal cannot work in the real world but........

people like him should be told that although we cannot invoke the death penalty, he is gonna get a very tough time for as long as possible. Human rights should not apply to those convicted of terrorism offences so the right to sue has gone right out of the window! We will seek to keep you alive for as long as possible but you are going to wish that we would not. As for the virgins? You won't be bothered by that by the time that your time comes, just as quick as a release as possible. On well, should have thought about that earlier huh?

I do hope the MOJ, (Ministry of Justice), fight this claim - that way if the claim is dismissed then the officers concerned will be cleared of any suspicion of wrong doing.

The problem is that so many of these sort of claims are settled out of court leaving a cloud over those concerned.
