In a pile of football shirts
He commands absolutely zero respect from the players doesn’t he? They walk away from him when he calls them over, they blatantly ignore him when he tells them to go back for a throw in, they even step over the magic foam line for free kicks and he is incapable of getting them to move back. What a waste of a referees shirt.

On the upside at least with a poor refereeing display we won't have to put up with Albion players being slagged off till Saturday.

Shocking. The bloke who runs You Are The Ref summed it up well at half-time essentially saying he's gotten the key decisions wrong because he was too slow keeping up with the play.

Which is a polite way of saying he's a feckless, fat, bald useless pile of steaming, festering, putrid shit.

Gods country fortnightly
Its one thing the ref missing the pen but the other officials not picking up on it is a disgrace

Don't worry, Mark Hughes has said he thought Glen splayed his legs to make contact so it was the right decision. Classless prick, needs to learn a few lessons from CH.

Seems like he has history with Stoke! The following is the final paragraph from his wikipedia entry:

"In 2016, in a Premier League game between Stoke City and Southampton, Mason came under criticism for showing Southampton's Sadio Mané a straight red card for a challenge on Erik Pieters in the final minutes of the match. Southampton's appeal against the decision was granted and Mané's three-match ban was repealed. He was also criticised for ignoring a penalty appeal when Southampton's Dušan Tadić was fouled by Stoke goalkeeper Jack Butland in the goal area. The following match weekend, in response to this criticism, Mason was removed from refereeing duties and instead reassigned to fourth official's work."

Shocking referee ...various decisions..allowed the Stoke goalie to take the piss whole game ...classic example was their celebration for the second goal ..group celebration..then three have a jig ..fine ..but then two of them head back to the halfway line ..third drops to his knees and snogs the turf for ages :moo: not a word to the player
Summed it up for me

Disgusting refereeing performance, I would like Mr Mason to explain his thinking behind pointing to the corner flag when Murray was taken out in the area and then deciding upon awarding Stoke a free kick. Utterly incompetent and shouldn't be plying his trade at this level.

Anyone also notice Shawcross poleaxe someone towards the end - waves play on (fair enough - although we’d have prob rather had the free kick) then not so much as a word to Shawcross (for his 4th or 5th foul) when the ball goes out of play a few secs later. Lino’s miss’s several clear offsides for both sides too. Bottle jobs.
