Believe it or not...Oxford's manor ground was a bit lively. Walked from some pub through loads of little alley ways with loads of little chavs watching us. never felt so uncomfortable

Always lively with Oxford.

White hart lane after we had beaten them to stop them going top in 82. Ground was rammed and Robinson scored the winner in front of us. The away end started to fill with spurs fans but nothing happened in the ground. The walk back to 7 sisters station was lively to say the least! Tube ride to Victoria was a matter of keeping your head down. When got off Victoria the spurs fans were met by Chelsea fans and they entertained themselves.

Upton park? Enough said.

Had a close call coming out of The New Den, they were letting us on the platform about 100 at a time, us then millwall, our car was parked just outside the ground, and OB told the 3 of us to get on the train, told them no and said well take our chances when they let millwall through .Dont know how they didnt sus we were brighton, got back down the steps and out,and got away with it, not comfortable on a platform with 2 OB and about 100 millwall.

Henfield
April 1977 Wrexham away on Seagull Special. Didn't get there til half time as there was a suicide on the line. Drew 0-0. Got back on the train at the station and train got stoned by fans on the bridge over the station. It was raining rocks and bricks etc. so we had to pull curtains over.
Events weren't helped by firstly the windows of the whole of one carriage popping out and we had to stop to redeploy fans. The diesel engine then packed up somewhere near Rugby and we had to wait for another engine to come up from London. Home at 2.00 a.m. Promotion was worth it all.

Chelsea were at home that day and to be honest only see a few at Victoria after the game, before the match the pubs around Victoria were rammed we had a real good turn out that day:cheers:, didn't stay in London late so i'll take your word on that bill

Chesterfield away, think it was 2000 ( when oat way got sent off) I went with some mates in a car and we parked down the hill from the ground, straight after the match Chesterfields mob tried to ambush Albion fans directly behind the stadium, but were chased off.
The Old bill had left their brains at home that day as they blocked off both the roads either side of the ground but not the small side street that the Chesterfield fans came up.
The OB then tried to take us ALL to the railway station, we managed to get away but couldn't find the car for ages and expected to see Chesterfields mob everytime we turned a corner.

At Victoria station after we were beaten 4-0 by watford. Police had escorted us back and the main group of Brighton fans had gone. 7 of us stayed behind for a drink and got later train home. 2 of us were in a 1st class carriage (the old style ones) when 4 Chelsea fans came across us for easy pickings. Unknown to them the other 5 were in the next carriage and made themselves known. The look on the chelsea fans faces was quality when they realised it wasn't their day.

THOSE CARRIAGES WERE POTENTIAL DEATH TRAPS no where to go , I'VE SEEN PEOPLE JUMP OUT THE DOORS ONTO THE TRACK FROM THOSE CARRIAGES (WHEN STATIONARY)

a couple of mates spent their entire match day drinking in town one game then played a game of run around:mad: , were you there when Brighton locked themselves in the pub by the station so the OB couldn't get in :tantrum:

no not that one DR.
Hove park tavern or Seagull tavern top of Sackville( changed it's name a few times). Walked in there full of Oxford fans. Mate said can't turn back now. Keep your mouth shut and just get a drink. Half way through his pint, top of his voice 'seeeaaagulls'. Luckily the saw the funny side. Very eventful in the Park.
