Sod him. Nowhere near as good as he thinks he is. Time to move on.

For the first time ever I am ever so slightly ITK on this one via a journalist mate who is also a Spurs season ticket holder. In short: his agent is touting him around to gauge interest. Which is what you’d expect him to do ahead of his last ‘big contract’. And that’s pretty much it at this stage. He’ll probably move in the summer, but we all knew that anyway.
4 days later …. turns out your mate WAS ITK.

The problem for Trossard is that he is no longer a certain starter for the team, As RDZ indicated in his Liverpool press conference, the team is now 17,18 strong given the younger players who have shown they can play at this level.
Given the money generated from the summer sales, and the stronger squad, the club can still flourish with Trossard out of the matchday squad.
RDZ has been excellent in conveying his requirements 100% is required all the time, both physically and mentally which has seen a stronger belief within the squad given the buy in from all (other than Trossard it would seem).
Winning teams have this ingrained, and RDZ seems a winner.
Maybe RDZ is too honest in his press conferences, but I find this refreshing rather than the bland statements that are repeated at each interview by some.
TB will win, TB and PB will back RDZ, the only loser would seem to be Trossard as his position when dealing with a new club would seem to be now from a weaker position, in terms of wages, etc.

The no dickheads rule is alive and well.
And even if one is sitting on the bench...100% focus, involvement and appreciation is required. I love it.

It does have the ring of I'm good I should play every game because my agent says so.
You will play if you are good every game, not just when you feel loved.
Wah(agent crying) I need to move to where I'm appreciated/on more money.
The sad thing is that he has the skills to have played every game for the Albion but not, apparently, the ability to apply himself. Just another naturally talented player who, for whatever reasons, never maximised their inherent ability.

Let's just hope we get a few quid despite his and his agent's best efforts to take his career in the opposite direction

Ali Mac: World Cup winner, comes back to the Albion and puts his head down, coming off the bench to help his team and put a shift in.

Leandro Trossard: knocked out in the group stages and thinks he's Maradonna.
Definitely Chelsea then, see him get fat and then banned for being coked up and spouting bollocks like the rest of Stamford Bridge

It was Lallana, I was told this morning. Not happy with Trossards efforts in training.
I can believe that. He's a leader on the pitch.
When a business is really well run, mistakes, leaks and misinterpretations never happen 'by accident'. And everyone in football knows how well Brighton is run.

As has been stated in many a movie, and as Leo's agent is learning, but not quickly enough 'It's like going to a gunfight with a knife'
it worked in the Magnificent Seven with James Coburn.

Maybe, maybe not - sell-on clauses might play a big part here. If we sell him for £20M. and in 2 or 3 years time nobody wants him, he's the main loser. If his cut price move leads to real big time interest, we'll have a decen chunk of it thank you very much.
He's 28. I don't think sell-on clauses are going to come into it tbh.
Just get what we can and move on.

Sadly I think we’re stuck with him. There’s no way he passes a medical, the bloke clearly has the consumption.

I remember in one RDZ first training sessions. The club do a 2 min video of Crofts taking a session, he had a pop at Leo, I’m going to paraphrase here ‘if your not going to work Leo, the group will have to do your work for you.’ Not sure why they kept it in but it didn’t sound like it was said in jest! Make of that what you will.
blimey...good listening skills 👍

And your first sentence is pretty much what RDZ said on his arrival, adding that Leo was good enough to score a shitload of goals in his career.
