Love the way people say he wants a big move to set him up for life. He's earning would be in the region of £5/6m since he's been here and a new contract would likely be for more. If you can't set yourself up for life with those figures you must be on self destruct.
More likely his smalltime agent wants to force the big move to set him up with his last big payday for the foreseeable

I wondered why the mood had changed a bit on the thread and totally missed the article on the club site. He either comes back and signs a new deal (of course all is not lost and it’ll be forgotten very quickly) or he goes in the next 2 weeks. One or the other surely. So many ‘theories’ now being touted about based on pure guesswork.

LOL!

Trossard gets all moody and is dealt with very well by Club. Agent gets stuck in and makes right meal of it.

Agent to Trossard "which club would you like me to target for a transfer now we have balls'd everything up at your current club?"

Trossard looks at league table

Trossard to Agent "I guess we should start at the top and work our way down but Im pretty confident you can get me to Arsenal"

For example apparently we “lost at bottom of the table Wolves”
..erm no Martin we won 3/2
…more errors and also taking Trossards Agent as talking the truth ..without any question 🤦‍♂️

Oh and Souness isn’t coming back 👀
Had wondered where souness was and interesting that White said it was him not us not wanting to come back

I think Simon Jordan embarrassed him with the De Zerbi / Souness managerial tenure comparison, in that Souness wasn’t aware he had followed a similar path! Oh well no lose

Looks like they’ve taken our approach to succession planning and already earmarked Keown as the next Monday idiot

Nothing else in the window for us to talk about unfortunately, nearly went to the “let’s count” thread then this happened

Rather amusing that people would think we are ‘offering’ Trossard to other clubs now (instead of them swooping on us)

Didn’t think things have got that bad 😂

Agent presumably still wanting to get him out in January - making usual door to doors.

The Daily Mail seem determined to claim that Chelsea are going to RAID us again for Trossard and Caicedo.

Who is Simon Jones at the Mail?

The dull part of the south coast
What exactly does reconciliation look like though? Do we make him parade along Marina Drive wearing an A Board pleading for forgiveness? How do you kiss and make up, as a club, when your highly paid player has encouraged his agent to release a statement undermining the manager and everybody involved with the club?
He's not getting in the team. He's barely played for weeks, has been absent from training and is behind our (arguably) best player (in his favoured position).
Does he strike anyone as even remotely the kind of personality to get his head down?
You know the moment he joined his agent said this was a stepping stone move and since then he has been consistently called out for his consistency and work rate. It was an absolutely monumental turn around for this to end positively.
The answer to all of that is we don’t know. I’m assuming now that there’s been a public hissy fit and a wrist slap that what will be will be kept strictly in house. Maybe a period of contrition and getting back to form and fitness and everything will be hunky dory. We will all know eventually.

No problem with the current manager but doesn't mean I have to agree with every single thing he says or does. Yes I do understand that some people right now would buy scent candles smelling like RDZs farts if they were available and that is entirely logical. But I look at the situations individually and sometimes not everything is perfect. The tone here around this subject would be a lot of different if the last couple of results looked any different.

Very different situation. Club made no comments (apart from one night before the deal was done), Cucurella and his agent didn't release public statements about internal issues, no one really knows if Cucurella was professional in training under the negotiations and so forth. There was nothing indicating a rift between Cucurella and staff/manager/players, nothing signalling that Brighton would be desperate to get rid of him, which is certainly different to the current situation (despite the damage limitation thingie today where the club is essentially saying that Tross could give his manager a blowjob and all while be fine).
"The tone here around this subject would be a lot of different if the last couple of results looked any different."
Yes, @Swansman, I think you are right with that sentence.
But for me, the flip side could have been that an unhappy Trossard is pandered to, the mood of the squad deteriorates, and we lose a few games because of it 🤷‍♂️.
I'm happy with how the club is handling it. A happy, together squad should win more prize money this season - I'd take the hit on any loss of player value.
As to how the results of the next few games may or may not be affected, well we have no idea.

Silly old bat
This exactly what I’ve been thinking. They have another child, as a mother myself, mothers or mother-in-laws are very useful at times when there’s a new baby.
That doesn't fit in with the hysterics of Trossard having fled the country!

Arsenal were heavily-linked with him before he joined us, so it could well be a possibility.
Lovely little insurance policy for Arsenal now that they’ve been gazumped on Mudryk. A couple of injuries to players like Nketiah, Saka or Martinelli and they might look a bit toothless. Tross could* give them an option in all 3 forward positions. He has been one of the top 10 forward players in the league pre-world cup, I think there might be some truth in this one but again, TB will want a lot of bucks.
