If the thing that “humiliated” Leo was RDZ calling him out in a team meeting for not working hard enough, which seems to have been hinted, then he will not survive at a top club. That sort of thing happens at every club. You only have to watch those All or Nothing docs to see it. So for Leo to use something like that as reason for a tantrum shows a crap mentality.

He's been used to the calm Potter treatment. Most top clubs have a fiery manager like RDZ, Pep, Jose, Klopp, Conte. I think an old skool Fergy would make him cry :tantrum:

This , i think Trossard has lost sight that the extra year option works both ways , if he had been long term injured he could have activated the clause to his benefit . It`s a simple case of a bellend spitting his dummy out :tantrum::tantrum::tantrum:
Think extension clauses are up to the Club to activate so doubt there’d be much choice for a player once contract got to a certain countdown period without a new contract in place.

Not saying you’re wrong and I’m probably missing the obvious but how would a player running down a 12 month extension on a contract with long-term injury help him? Doesn’t the risk of being unemployed increase even more in that situation?

Afraid his new chant whatever happens will be along the lines of ‘Trosser the Tosser’ from the majority of NSCers sadly which IMO would be unfair and it would sadden me about a player who has served us well. 🙁

I have to say I find all this terribly sad.

I remember watching Leo play FC Liffering and getting very excited about the potential of him. Fantastically, that potential has certainly been realised (IMO), and, paradoxically may have added to the problems we have now with him.

I have no idea what happened behind closed doors. I have rarely seen evidence of an agent not being an absolute spanner. I have often seen workmates fall out over trivialities so all of what we see and hear may be right or may be wrong.

I think a large part of the vitriol towards Leo on here is a hangover to the Potter situation. That’s the particularly sad part.

Whatever transpires (and to be clear, I support what RdZ has done, critical that he drives this), I hope it works out for all concerned and if Leo goes, I just want to thank him for the job he did here.

Life eh?

I may well be wrong but i thought we had a player activate his extension , i`m guessing but it was someone like Agustein , i know we have someone out there who knows .

As for how it would benefit an injured player is straight forward , we pick up the medical bill while he gets back to full strength for a free transfer at the end all the while picking up a cheque .

The head coach was correct to say that Trossard hasn't played at 100 percent since coming back from a poor World Cup. The player needed to get his head down and show willing but has flounced instead. His choice. With the quality we have coming onstream in his position(s) now, he's not exactly in a strong position.

Tross looking at his phone this afternoon...alternating between looking hopefully for an update from his agent...and despite himself, having a look at scoreline v Liverpool. Not wishing for a moment of schadenfreude, but I hope he's thought this roll of the dice through.

It comes down to money now.
Talk of 15 mill on Soccer Saturday.
I would activate the clause and keep him, if that’s all we would get.
