[Albion] Leandro Trossard SIGNS ON A FOUR-YEAR DEAL

Thunder Bolt

Silly old bat
CH decided there was no one else which is why, unbelievably, Murray played a part in every Premier League game, last season.
For a player who stunk the place out for all of 2019, being humiliated by Millwall in the process, that's quite some doing.

Were it not for some comedy defending and the sweetest of sweetly stuck shots v palace this entire place would be in dismay upon is selection.

As it is we have to be constantly told what he's done for the Albion, with very little acceptance of what he's currently doing and even more importantly what he's capable of doing in the future.

Humiliated by Millwall? Come off it, it was the referee's fault.

How would you describe Murray's 2019 performances?

Strong, considering his age. Streetwise, useful to the team when relieving pressure with a long ball. He is slow, and stunts most fast breaks so we have to take a more measured build-up approach but considering the players we have that is probably what we are more suited towards. His finishing has been excellent, and for a team that did not create too much his goal return was very good. At times he has looked tired and in need of a rest, which is why it is important that we utilise other options in the future. A threat from set-pieces, where we have seen lots of success and will hopefully continue to threaten. Obviously though, the most important factor is his goal contributions, which is outstanding.

Not sure what you have against him

How would you describe Murray's 2019 performances?

The same as the rest of the team - 90% of the time absolute shite. It ran through the whole team and in defence of Murray the ever decreasing number of decent hoofed balls forward made it close on impossible for him to shine with no support at all most of the time.

The problem was the team’s collapse in form and the way they were managed...imo

These aren't the players you're looking for.

How would you describe Murray's 2019 performances?

A mesmerising combination of bold technique and fierce dramatic conviction, delivered in a package so slow you don't need VAR freeze frame to validate his offside calls.

a galaxy far far away
He scored rather a good goal at Selhurst Park. In general, his performances tailed off throughout the season as you would expect of a mid 30's striker. Crucially he still scored goals in a team that barely created chances. Most bottom 6 teams would tell you they would bite your hand off for a striker who doesn't play that well but scores. He'll feature next season. Maybe more in a last 15 minutes and we need a goal sort of way, but he'll contribute and he'll score

How would you describe Murray's 2019 performances?

For me there's an awful lot of Uncle Fester, which is also a positive for me.

equally, there is no guarantee that whoever that may have been would have scored the goals he did. Point is/was, in a low-scoring team, where contribution from midfield and wingers is sparse, the goals he scored meant something to the outcome of our season, he gained us a lot of points.
No disagreement there. Just don't claim we'd have finished with 19 points without Murray.

Of course it's impossible to know how many points we would have accumulated without Glenn. Possibly more, probably less. Just trying to illustrate his current significance in our team.

Whilst this signing is GREAT I can’t help but have a massive tinge of sadness that there’s no bearded Catalan there to welcome him into the fold and introduce him around the squad.
