I've got some time this weekend so may take a nerdy look.

Next season could be:

Derby County
Sunderland
Ipswich Town (who I have no pleasure seeing in Div 3)
Bolton Wanderers
Coventry City

All in the same league.

Add MASSIVE (being kind) and Charlton Athletic + even potentially Pompey.

I'm wondering if they were all together in Div 1 in the last 25 years. I'll take a look.

EDIT: Since 2000, all eight have been in Div 1, as many as five at any one time.

Bit mean putting Coventry in div. 3 isn't it? What was the 28 points post end of season deduction for?

Absolute howler from Stockdale. Schoolboy error.

Easily his worst mistake since this

2-0 with 10 to play.

No way back for Wycombe I think.

Not a fan of Wembley playing music over the top of trophy presentation (having said that I’m not a fan of music blasting out at the Amex after a win immediately the final whistle goes). Let the fans create the atmosphere.

I’ll say it every year; I don’t know why teams who go up via playoffs are presented with medals and trophies.
Scrap playoffs altogether, or just have one game between 3rd and 4th.

Watching a team who finished 5th in League One raising a trophy at wembley, weird.

:lolol::lolol::lolol:

I'm always about 4 years behind everyone else.

I actually bought a train ticket on a phone app yesterday and wowed at this new concept.

Play offs will probably get even bigger like in some non leagues where 5 or even 6 teams are involved. Yes the trophy is weird, the team in 5th place get a cup and the team in 2nd don’t

I was thinking as to whether Sunderland had been in Europe before.

Must have done, as they won the FA Cup in 1973.

So next year we should be hearing 'Today's league game is a repeat of the FA Cup Final 50 years ago...'

With you on this,a team finishing 6th/7th shouldn't have the opportunity to be promoted

3rd/4th neutral ground, geographically half the distance for each, not Wembley

Won't happen obviously

Sunderland’s most talked about game in Europe didn’t actually happen

On the 25th November 1983 Sunderland drew 1-1 away to Standard Liege, The support of two bricklayers working in Germany has prompted numerous discussions and arguments on line to this day of what they were actually doing there.
