100% this - last season going to the cup final even to lose to City was much more important to me as a fan than staying in the premier league, that 1 day out was such a better feeling then ever been "safe" on the final day of the season
Well said Tom! Survival in the Prem is all about finance, Cup Finals are about the fans!

Sammi is taking the cup seriously.

Harry Redknapp took the cup seriously at Burton tonight: "You give players an opportunity and you hope they can take it. But they didn't take the opportunity tonight.

"Nobody wants to get beat. You want to win every game. We came here - I picked a strong team on paper - with senior players, but they were poor and didn't take the opportunity."

That is a FANTASTIC draw for us, really couldn't have asked for better...lots of premier league teams playing each other.

A note of caution for those looking to book advance train travel or days off work etc... Burton share a lot of match day policing and stewarding resources with Derby County so it's highly likely that either our tie or Derby vs Reading will be moved to the Wednesday. It's rare for both clubs to play at home on the same day for this reason.

I assume they'll make a decision on this fairly quickly...

Thanks, I was wondering if this would be the case.

That's a decent draw for you lot.
Very winnable, goes without saying.A delightful town to visit with some superb boozers, and a top notch away end.A good sized covered terrace in a modern ground.
Been there three times watching the super Reds.Have fun.
