Good folk of NSC. I need to try and predict Top 3 and playoff winners, along with relegation 2 for L2, and SPL winners (Rangers), and relegation spot.

One of those start of season things. Happy with my PL, Championship and L1 predictions, but any advice for the abover would be appreciated.

Northampton are always quite strong in League 2 so I can see them doing well. Cheltenham have a few good players and a good manager in Martin Allen so I can also see them doing well. Bradford are just Bradford and there's always expectations that they'll do well. There's also the other teams that just missed out on the play-offs/promotion last season including Bury, Rochdale, Shrewsbury and Rotherham who would have been promoted if they didn't have any points deductions. Also obviously Notts County now with all their money and don't discount Port Vale either.

So teams for the top-half, basically pick and choose:

Northampton
Cheltenham
Bradford
Bury
Rochdale
Shrewsbury
Rotherham
Notts County
Port Vale

The teams at the bottom of League 2 are normally the same each season so it's more easier to predict, although the two who could go down is not so easy. Grimsby really struggled last season and would have been relegated if it wasn't for all the points deductions in the League. Macclesfield and Barnet are always down there. Accrington don't have any money or any following to be a success in the Football League at the moment. Torquay may also struggle but I think they'll be fine.

Possible teams to be relegated:

Grimsby
Barnet
Macclesfield
Accrington
Torquay
Morecambe

Thanks for the info RM.
I think Notts County, Rochdale, Bury and Bradford with Morecombe and Accrington.

County have the money, Rochdale have stabalised a good season, and added. Bury went with your punt, and Bradford for family/insder info I got the other week.

Acrington - good point RM, and Morecombe because they are not a football league town, and have punching above their weight for some time

Agree with you there Scotty, if they hadn't had such a massive points deduction they would have been somewhere around the play-offs last season...I think the millers will be thereabouts come the end of the season.
